S550 seat choice....am I crazy for not liking the buckets?

Hey guys/gals -

I recently picked up a 22 M1 fighter jet grey/orange & I picked up that didn't have the Recaro seat. Now the Recaro's are very nice and comfy, no hate on that but am I the only one who prefers the premium seats with colling/heating? They are comfy to me, and I just wanted to see if I am absolutely crazy or anyone else feels that way. I love the accent striping on the seat to match the older Mach 1. I think that is a nice touch on the premium and another reason why I prefer them. Share your thoughts gang...

I don't have a Mach 1 but I really don't like the recaros! I'm definitely not paying more to lose the power and heat/cooling!

We still get the power seats over here with Recaro's but lose the heat / cool.

Personally prefer the heat / cool aspect and the standard seats are fine.

Ordered my 21 in February 21, intentionally did not go for the Recaros, but did get the 700A, and have no regrets.

I have the Recaro seta in my 17 GT. Being my car is all black inside and out I'd probably like the cooling aspect but not the heat. If sun is out no matter what the outside temp is car is ok inside.

1. Not a M1 owner, but I have cooled seats.
2. I almost always forget to use them.
3. When I do remember, I'm never impressed.

Some people dont like the Recaros. Some just simply dont fit in them.

I love em, but the sofa seats were comfortable too and easier to slide in and out of.

I love the standard seats for normal commuting. I really, really wish I had Recaro seats for track days or spirited driving. My wife loves the heating/ventilation feature so they will stay. I may look at a race seat to swap in and out for the few times I track the car.

I don't use the cooling much nowadays, and I agree it's not a lot, but the cooled seats were truly a lifesaver when I use to have to wear a suit to work.

For SN197s, those Recaros are so much better than the stock seats. For the S550 and S650, give me the basic seat. Their Recaros are nothing like their predecessors.

In Australia cooled seats are a dream so you’re not crazy I think mine are on 9 months of the year.

I don't really think the cooling feature works very well anyway. That being said, the GT/MACH1 Recaros aren't very comfortable. The ones in the GT350 however, are amazing.

I’d love the racaros if I was tracking it, but I’m not. If/when I do, I’ll buy race seats that arnt 4k a set for no reason.
