I scored some local GT350R rep wheels (Project 6GR SEVEN I believe) with some OEM size Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires. They were supposedly used for 1 track day. Those rear tires look like they were used pretty heavily… track rats give me your opinion on their life (front is 2nd to last pic, rear is last pic).

I plan on using this set for track and autocross.

I can see the differences between the reps and the real carbon wheels. They paint on the reps is not very good quality. They show a lot of scratches.

Interestingly, the front tires are made in France, whereas the rears are made in the USA.
The French-made tire has a slightly different sidewall and tread too it seems.
The stock front and rear are both made in the USA. Probably a GT350R spec Cup 2.

Today the TreeFiddyAre got the Rear Diffuser Strake Kit part #A0274A from Verus. Super easy to install . So far it has the front conards, vortex generators, rear diffuser strakes and in a few hundred miles when we do the oil the fender evacuation kit goes on. I'll get around to the Flat Under belly kit and we are done as far as add one aero stuff. Side note-Wednesday the 8-4-1 full system goes on

Couple shots of the rear strake kit , I haven’t asked Verus but I bet adding this Strake kit to the oem unit works as good as their aftermarket one .

Funny story…..

I went into a local pub, and there was a young female bartender… She asked what I wanted. Making what I thought was a funny joke, I said “ One bourbon, one Scotch, and one beer”.
She asked if I wanted Top Shelf?.
I replied, haven’t you ever heard of Geoge Thorogood?
She replied, “We don’t have that brand of bourbon, but we do have…”, and started naming the brands they have.

She was too young to get the joke, and never heard of George Thorogood.

Being a Track Rat and my R has had several front brakes sets and tires, those look like a 1 session set of tires. Some tracks are worse than others for tires.

hahahah so true, but I use to get somewhat annoyed that they didn't carry the good good stuff just a lot of the mainstream hardware

(Re)installed my newly purchased JLT foam rock blocker inserts for the areas right behind the front wheels.

Bought the car with a pair and then about 2 months into ownership left them at a car wash station

Can't wait for my running boards to actually maybe stay clean now with the JLT/Jaeger brother rock blocker combos?
