So I had a Raptor R supercharger ported at Kong Performance for use on my '20 GT500. I tried to find specs on either unit and learned there is little to nothing out there. Eaton/Ford wants these serviced as an entire unit which is as wasteful as it gets. At least there are a few pulley options available through the after market and Ford (if you stick to OEM pulley sizes).

Most critical, is the supercharger being full of the proper oil and at the correct level. I called and spoke to Greg at Kong about this since I couldn't find a fill amount listed anywhere. Greg told me the proper amount of oil is 5.1 ounces. You can use Ford or GM supercharger oil. He told me they buy oil from superchargersonline.com in bulk.

Fill plug is at the rear of the unit.

Being in the back is not easy to add to oil into...at least my 3.4 whipple on my 2007 GT500 has a viewport on the front of the unit.

Just a finally out of warranty "upgrade." Keeping it mild, no E85. I have most of the parts ready, just waiting on VMP to get moving, tune wise.

For those contemplating something similar, or just wanting an extra supercharger, I picked mine up from "vroom juice" on eBay. He's selling all the takeoff units from VelociRaptor truck conversions. I paid two grand for mine and the units are very low mile. Packaging isn't the best but thats another story. Kong did a fabulous job porting it for me.

Link to said Juice. They had sold ~31 of them when I got mine and are up to like 85 as I type this.

Saying it is rather difficult would be putting it lightly. I believe the normal service interval is 100k miles.

@Epiphany Tob, what are the anticipated gains from the ported blower? How aggressive (or conservative) will the VMP tune be?

Hmm. Hard to say. I want to stay conservative throughout. If I get some 93 octane gas that isn't up to snuff, I don't want to have to be on pins and needles.

Raptor R pulley may add a pound or so of boost. Ported blower, same or a little more as I'm also using a Kong 108mm TB. Not doing fuel mods beyond a set of ID1050 injectors. VMP lid, street brick, and their intake too. If I can get 800 to 850 wheel without pushing it spark wise, I'll be a pig in shit.

That is a thing of beauty right there. 800-850whp seems like a reasonable goal. I know you will, but keep us posted!

I also picked up one of those take-off's, @ "Ep's" recommendation.
I have warrantee until 2032, so in no rush.

Just figured if one ever wanted to mod down the road, and wanted
to keep orig blower, original, not going to find them this cheap and low mile
I'd guess, in the future.

Mine was packed better, but still broke bypass. Was sent a replacement
by seller with little trouble.
