Hi

I’m starting a new project
i have a manual 2015 gt. Recently saw a post of a gt350 doing an 8hp swap. I liked it. I’ve driven several cars with 8hp trans and they drive nicely.
I got 8hp90 trans from a bmw
All the adapters i need
Will do link ecu standalone/piggyback (it’s the only supported ecu that a local tuner can fully support my project) other than motec which is way above my goals.
turbolamik tcu

If the trans swap goes smoothly, will boost the car. 8hp90 should handle 700ft/lbs safely

Will keep updating this thread with pictures of the project

I am really interested in this. Might want to do this aswell. Good option for people (like me) that live in Europe that can get a 8HP dirtcheap. Under 1000$.

GL! Keep me updated man!

Very interested in this as well! Super cool project!

Curious if this would be easier or harder to do with a 10r80 car...

It will be harder since the HP8 CANbus doesn’t talk by itself to Ford ECU where the 10R would…

But standalone would be cool and even better than the 10R. I saw Turbomalik makes a sequential kit for it too. Super sick!

Do you have a link to the thread/post on the swap that you can post?

transmission installed, shifter installed (dct shifter), drive shaft installed (stock shaft, replaced the transmission side with bmw end, welded and balanced)
90% of wiring for the link ecu and turbolamik are done
car should be running by next week i hope
adapter kits made it all easy, minimal modifications were needed
transmission fits nicely

domi-works for trans and converter adapters
domi-works universal trans mount adapter with custom fabricated body mount
jpc racing for flex plate
dct shifters E-shifter

link ecu
Chose it cause i have a local tuner who can deal with it and supported by turbolamic for integration
Probs to you man. Super sick! Was it originally a manual or a automatic?

Can’t wait to hear the DCT shifts and blips! That shifter is super nice too. Insane build

Around $12k all in all with labor
Well sounds not bad, you should be set for ever with the gearbox, these never break and you have standalone ECU.
Pretty sick if you ask me.

post some videos if you ever got time of some pulls!
