ok going back under the knife again. I'm waiting on hurst short throw competition shifter and transmission/shifter mount mount kit. The BMR IRS lockout kit is installed, the BMR IRS sub frame lockout is installed, and the BMR subframe brace kit is installed. The gulf coast drive shaft is ready but waiting on the other parts. I also have the E85 test kit and I'm prepping to go E85 with the tune. The pump gas tune is pretty close to done. Also mickey thompsons and drag star wheels are in one of the pictures installed.

The wheels may be installed, but we are seeing them from the "not so interesting" side. Lol..
That car is going to be a LOT of fun.

How does it feel now with all the BMR stuff. I like the fact you have done that , without doing all the other stuff. I bet it feels much more locked in now and a lot less floaty. And solves 90% of the problems.

I got the clutch in and the transmission. I put in a new pilot bearing and slave cylinder. I also bleed the slave cylinder before install. The clutch line on the transmission side.... What a PITA. Next step is to just torque all the bolts down good and install my shifter, which has been disassembled and reassembled with the hurst parts.

Everything is done.

The rear feels incredibly solid. It's hard to explain but I can feel what it's doing and it's not floating around anymore and I like that a lot. It gives feedback and doesn't feel like its on a cloud. Now to just get the front to do the same haha. I love the car but man do I dislike the light steering and lack of feedback.

The clutch is... great but taking me sometime to get use to. The throw is different, the release point is different, how it grabs is different. I'm sorry for the terrible shifting below but I'm still trying to baby it slightly while also learn its release and grab points. It does grab like crazy though and you have to be ready for it.

The shifter I'm currently T/Sing. It seems to be rough to get into first from reverse. It's like to the shifter is suppose to butt up against the reverse lockout and that should align perfectly with first and it slides in. Mine is off slightly. So I have to move the shifter over to find first and get it to engage well. Same with second it's off slightly so you have to get it perfectly aligned up or its tough to get it in. I have to see if there is a way to adjust the lockout over, like the S197, to align up the new shifter so it goes into first without having to "hunt for it". Also the hurst lockout collar didn't have the set screw hole drilled all the way through so my plastic adjustment screw wouldn't go against the shift shaft. I have a plan to take it back off drill it out and tap it to fit a set screw Lowes sells that's metal and pretty close to the same kind. I honestly don't know why Hurst went plastic because it just taps out before you can put any pressure on it that might have got it to push through the drilled hole that wasn't completely all the way through.

Other than that I'm trying to burn off all 94 so I get the E85 from sheetz which will be next week.

Also, I got hung up on the driveshaft because the lady was new at the driveshaft company and thought it was an automatic and forgot to send the hardware for the 3 bolt transmission flange. M12x1.50 30mm is a weirder bolt thread pitch and hard to find locally for me, as most use M12x1.75 and is a lot more common. I had to order the bolts which caused a week delay.

The BMR drive shaft loop needed to be spaced 1/2" up to clear and I had to order aluminum 3/8" spacers, which also caused a week delay.

I am not familiar with the Hurst shifter, but if it's anything like the Barton, it can be a very fine adjustment needed in order to true it up. I spoke with Barton when I first installed mine because I was having troubles with 1st and 2nd and they said that 1/64th of an inch adjustment can make a difference.
