Car starts then stops. The only way to keep it running is give it throttle but runs lopey. Took it to a shop and after some troubleshooting they recommend I purchase a new TB.

It happened again. Threw codes P115E and P2135. I replaced the last TB with a new one and just had the same issue as before. I've replaced this TB with a new one and Stang runs fine. Physical inspection of TB shows nothing out of the ordinary. Butterfly moves and looks clean.
Started with a VMP 137 (I guess they quit making them) then went to 163 and now another 163.

Guess what has happened again. Yes, that's right car went into limp mode. Pulled codes P115E and P2135. It's TB buying time again.

I'd buy a different brand. What does your tuner recommend?

Also make sure you don't have a loose/damaged wiring harness.

I'll have to ask my tuner to see what recommends.
Thanks

Yes I would also agree to check your wiring harnesses and the plug connectors for any damages to the wires or the pins in the plugs.

To have the same issue many times now, I don’t think it’s the TB itself. I mean sure, you could get a bad TB, but for it to consistently happen - there’s possibly another underlying issue.

Tuner recommends buying a different brand of TB

Would have been nice if VMP just charged me 50% of the price since I have bought like 4 now.

Checked harness and everything looks good.

I replaced TB and Stang runs like a champ.
