The pulley by the alternator that moves right and left where should it be

I called whipple they said should be closest to the alternator
I moved it over to that direction

When ever I'm driving in hig rpm and the car switching gear makes swooshing noise, belt is moving

Had dyno done before I added the new tensionar and spacers and the belt was jumping and maki the same swoosh noise

You want it 80% of the way towards tightening the belt. Mine is more up and down and not left and right but either way you look at it just move it in the direction that adds tension to the belt. Sounds like you went the wrong way and removed tension instead of adding it.

My understanding is Whipple recently changed that tensioner pulley and it now goes up and down. Either way it should be simple to ad just, if you have the older tensioner moving it outward or towards the alt will increase the tension. With the new one moving it up should increase as well. You will know because the billet tensioner will move upwards when you add tension.

Yes depending on how recently you got your kit, the new style goes up and down and the not so long ago to older versions go side to side. The main purpose of this adjustable idler is to set proper tension on the tensioner driven pulley. Adjust the one by the alternator so that the tensioner pulley one is at about 75% of its travel which puts ideal tension on the serpentine belt. There is no one correct spot for the adjustable idler other than making the right tension for the tensioner pulley.
