Is it necessary to move the idler pulley with the 3.33 pulley and the Gates 100” green belt? The idler is currently on the second hole from the left which is how it came with the stock 3.8 pulley

When i had my paxton torque booster with a 3.33 pulley installed, i bought the 100” belt so i wouldnt have to move the tensioner and it worked!

Any tips on getting the belt on? I’ve heard people say “walk it on” but trying to walk it on the alternator pulley I’m getting nowhere. Im in the stock hole (second from the left) and it seems impossibly tight.

You should have the belt routed on all pulleys already and be just trying to get it up on the blower pulley last

Gave that a shot and here’s where I’m at. With the tensioner maxed out I only have this much belt left to work with. Does that seem right?

do you have the belt tension loosened via the tensioner? Should have a wrench and a leverage bar on it rotating it counter clockwise while you pull the belt on the pulley!

That photo is taken with the belt loosened entirely via the tensioner. I have a breaker bar on it and a ratcheting strap pulling it all the way counterclockwise. I think I may need to move the idler one hole over to the right, to the middle hole.

You can try that, but man that is weird im on a 101" belt and a 3.48 pulley and its tight nice n snug in the middle hole i would figure on 3.33 and 100 that 2nd to left whole would be fine.

when we install

we remove the idler above the tensioner, and thats the last place we put back, that is the easiest way to get a tight belt on

the ars tensioner we sell makes it even easier, since the upper stop is moved quite a bit of distance as well
