Cost effective way to go catless?

I have a 2019 with a p1x, just an H pipe in my exhaust. Right now I’m at 580whp, by the end of summer will be north of 800. Do I need to go catless? I really like the way the car sounds right now, I don’t want to make it obnoxiously loud. However if I do need to go catless, what are my options, mainly the most cost effective?

Keep the cats, they actually do provide a benefit to our environment without effecting the power, if you want you can have some high flow cats installed which will allow better flow and a little louder exhaust note.

GT500 cats don't seem worthwhile, as your anticipated HP is above what that engine/exhaust was built for.

Roger on the sound. A no resonator, no cat car would be loud.

No cat is cost-effective, but if it's getting attention all the time, any monies saved wouldn't seem worth it.

Considering the engine, changes, costs, etc., maybe upgrade/setup the exhaust, then increase power?

To be clear, I’m not looking for any performance gains from getting rid of the cats. I’ve just read that once you’re boosted, your cats could likely fail.

Install 2 step like all the cool kids and blow your current cats right out the back! Preferable at a car show with LOTS of camera's around.......

Stock cats do restrict power and are prone to failing with boost.

The really expensive GESI cats or cheaper GT500 cats handle boost well. I believe 2m makes a cat delete that uses the stock manifolds(headers) for relatively cheap, but you still have to remove the manifolds to weld on. There are ways to get rid of the rasp and quiet it back down without the cats. Do you have the Active Exhaust?

Catless with a Hpipe and active isn't bad in normal and sport mode. A bit ridiculous in track and really quiet in quiet mode. Some resonators will help tame it and reduce the rasp. Either LTH or cat delete will be about the same volume from what I understand. Here is a clip of mine with LTH(catless) Hpipe, and stock active in sport mode. I'll eventually put some resonators in, maybe.

2M fabrication downpipes. Only one side needs to be welded. You will need to add resonators or the car will be way too loud.

He might want to keep them, but the Procharger has other plans. His cats will melt, sooner rather than later.

What if I got some GESI cats to put in place of the oems. Would I just be able to cut and swap them in, or would I still need the cat deletes from 2m to make it work?

Incorporate some electric dumps into your factory exhaust ahead of the cats. Open them when doing hard runs/pulls and close them during normal driving.

Cat failure happens, even with $2K top tier headers. It happened to me (nitrous car and a WOT Box). Even the expensive cats alone may or may not fail.
