Saw that earlier. unbelievable. They should have left it at that - even though it's supercharged. That would avoid the GT500 comparisons and also respect the heritage while upgrading what we've know the Boss to be. Win-win. That way no one hears "we don't like Shelby or Boss or Cobra" anymore. We want to run with stuff people already don't like.Yeah. Regarding the car, I love it. And I haven't been a DH fan at all. I don't care about nomenclature - just hardware. In that regard, I love what I see and can't wait for more detail.
I am a bit disappointed in Farley and how he's handling the public. I didn't like the way he treated the "influencers" that were asking him questions prior to the DH SC introduction. When he said that "we don't look back" I was like what? Couple that with learning how close they were to calling the car a Boss variant seemed about as disingenuous as you can be. For example, one of the cars that was there...when somebody filmed the dash screen and scrolled through the different modes and they recorded the animations, the cars clearly say "BOSS." I can't believe it'll be that way when in production but to not want to talk about any heritage but yet you were that close to using an iconic name...wtf. Anyway, I love the car.

When we get a "new" Dark Horse SC that replaces the Shelby at the top, we expect it to be something amazing, not a bit faster version of the 6 year old car. If they would have left it as intended at "boss," people would have room to expect something even better while being happy with the badge and the car itself, which would be a significant upgrade from any other Boss in history.
But then we hear Jim tell us that this is "the future" and ... yeah. If
Your GT500 is the best looking and performing car Ford has ever made for the price. With the Whipple and carbon fiber, you're whooping the GTD everywhere except the track - and your car is no slouch there either. No, not getting me to trade my 500 for one. I️ have Whippled mine and added a lot of carbon fiber. The 500 is just a work of art. Maybe the DHSC will grow on me. It will ultimately come down to pricing. If it is in line with what the 500 it would be tempting but something tells me it will be 120k instead of 90k for the base model.
I am 10% certain the DHSC will outperform the stock version, otherwise it would be laughed to scorn. But the DHSC for its time is nothing like the 2020+ GT500 for its time.
