True. I'm not a fan of it but the Cobra R or this GT350 R comes that way so its alright. Its when every 6 banger and GT starts getting them it gets out of control.

if you go 120+mph then it work, but any slower it doesn't do much
I think you might be surprised. If you put something as small as the palm of your hand out the window at even 20 or 30 mph, the air will exert quite a bit of force on it.

The spoiler on the R is considerably larger than the palm of your hand.

Anyone who has towed a car with a wing or some spoilers on a trailer knows how well they can work, screwing up your tongue weight and giving you a fishtailing trailer at as slow as freeway speeds, 55+.

I was at the Detroit auto show last weekend and saw the GT350R. the rear spoiler is big but you can see how it would function with the car when you look down the sides and over the top. The Z28 and the Z06 have a short spoiler with a big wickerbill that stands straight up, I understand they work but cant help but think it would add a ton of drag to the car. The GT350R spoiler looks alot more streamlined.

As long as you don't go the total Phony GT350 with the stripes and emblems, I think it would look sharp!

I really like how when you look from the rear you can see that the wing is designed to bend under load and there are supports on the rear quarter panels that will help take the load so the trunk lid doesn't bend. Fun stuff. I hope Ford shows some wind tunnel footage of the wing bending as the car's speed increases.

The cars aren't made for top speed, they are made for handling, which downforce helps. Chevy has told us that the Z07 package on the Z06 will lower the car's top speed because of the extra drag.

The GT350 (non R) at the DC auto show had the mid-sized wing on it and it looked great. Very similar to the Z06/Z28 wing.

Well...if its a functional wing then it gives GT PP owners another option over the Steeda Tru-Downforce wing. GT PP drivers would benefit from it. If they actually Track the car. If its primarily for showin.....then Yes I agree it would be Fast n Furious idiocy.

Also the GT350 is drag limited only. SO...it will go FAST and continue to accelerate only to the point where the aerodynamics prevent it from going any faster.

This thing looks even better from the side. I thought it stuck up more, but it sits down pretty nice for a "wing".

I wonder if this is the same type of conversation guys in the late 60s had when the Superbird and Daytona came out...if they had the Internet...

Those cars sat on the lots because no one wanted to buy them at the time. But they won races!

I think the Daytona and Superbird are cool, but they are really ugly and really huge cars as well. I can understand why people didn't want them, even though the 440 and 426 were incredible engines.

My wife can't stand the wings on those and would be pissed if I ever got one. However, given the money, a hemi Superbird would be in the top 10 shortlist of cars Id want in a collection. They are pieces of history and I don't like wings, but for some reason I LOVE those cars!

I feel the same with the GT350R, if I had the money and didn't need a car for DD...I'd buy it. I'd get over the wing and learn to love it. I however, need a DD and not have a 65k+ budget so the regular 350 with track pack is fine with me. I won't be crying if I curb curb rash that I'm prone to. Lol
