Upgraded coil packs??

So I just had a misfire pop a check engine light. I’m going to do a full tune up and wanted to know if I should get the Ford Performance ones. I’m already boosted and making a good amount of HP. I’m just looking for peoples opinion and if I should upgrade them what ones should I run?

I think the ones he is referring to are the gt500 coils. On a gen2, you need to replace all the coil plugs with the included ones. Also they do not work with the MSD 2step, unsure about WOT box. My original 2016 coils been fine and I've been plenty fast. Could the gt500 coils show a few more ponies? Not sure.

I guess if Ford thought it necessary to increase the volts/joules for the GT500 coils (likely to help overcome the resistance in the cylinder that boost creates) then maybe..... but like you said, the stock GT ones can do the job into 4 digit power territory.

Throw some plugs in it and gap accordingly, should he good to go.
