Hey everyone. I have a 2017 Mustang GT that is otherwise stock besides Exhaust and Suspension parts.

Anyways I noticed more recently my roush catback (mufflers with an h pipe) have been burbling, and makes pops sometimes under decel, it is more prevalent when it’s cold (the car.)

My AFR is always between 13.8-14.8 depending, so I don’t think it’s running rich where it’s dumping fuel into the exhaust? I’m starting to worry even though it sounds cool.

IIRC, when my 2019 engine was cold and I let off the gas, the mix stayed around 14 and I got burbles with stock exhaust. When warm, letting off gas, it went to 20 and no burbles.

Both coyotes I've owned have made more burbly decel noise as they got older. Both had almost no burble on stock exh, after an H-pipe/X-pipe they burbled. Maybe a Cat thing, maybe a break-in thing, who knows... I wouldn't sweat it, I think it's neat lol

On my '23 I get a lot of pftpftpftpft, even stock I did, it's a bit louder with the Borla S Type.

On hard acceleration between shifts sometimes I get a pop but it's not every time.

It hasn't changed in the 13k miles i've put on the car

Okay awesome! I’m just surprised. I’ve had this roush h pipe and axle backs on for like two years and it just became more noticeable. Sounds so good
