Looks awesome! Was it hard to get the back panel off? Any trick to it? What are you going to do about the shiny black plastic around the tail lights that matches the panel, just leave it?

Oil Change.

I have to say that Ford is second only to Nissan for stupid $(#*!) placement of the oil filter and the access to it.

They thought they were being nice with the trap door in the belly pan for the oil filter on the PP cars, but it's pretty useless in practice. The opening is a bit mis-aligned to the engine mount point for the filter, so oil will drip all over the flap. And........ they ran two smallish wire looms directly under the filter.

I say this is only slightly better than my old Xterra that had a "ramp" that the oil was supposed to drain down. That ramp ended up being a perfect diverter to channel the oil onto the front swaybar.

You guys can bitch about GM all you want, but I wish this car had a fully vertical oil filter like my LSx/LTx Corvettes.

Okay, rant over... It only took some extra shop towels and hand cleaner since my usual latex gloves didn't keep oil off my arms with this car. ;)

Later tonight I need to wash it.

Thanks! 4 9mm bolts secure the panel on the trunk lid. There are metal push clips on the top that you need to finesse loose. It isn't hard, just be careful, the part is around $1000 list price right now. I'm not doing anything to the tail lights, matches the gloss emblems.

Man that looks good! What did you on the back panel and the GT emblem?
Thank you!
The panel is base black with a flat clear, emblem is base black with normal clear.

That looks slick, Doug. Adds a little accent color to the TY. Was it hard to do? I'm assuming you had to take the wheels off and remove the little pony badges?

No I did not have to remove the wheels at all.. Small flat screwdriver pops them right out. Yes I did have to push out the pony's.. Some red vinyl and a heat gun is all I needed.. I wanted to go for this look.....

Drove the car HARD today on backroads for a demo for a fellow car guy I hadn't seen in over a year. He was blown away by its quality, sound (thanks, Borla), acceleration and handling prowess (thanks to the suspension upgrades).
