One more thing I find fascinating, count to nine Mississippi, and that's when the "normal" Z06 finished behind the GTD.

Z06 is within 9 secs of the GTD’s lap time for less than half the money.

ZR1 and ZR1X beat the GTD despite still being cheaper cost

Ford had to throw carbon fiber everything, Multimatic suspension, active aero, and a pro driver at the GTD just to edge ahead… and it still got leapfrogged within a year.

Ford had the secret recipe in the 60's --- to beat Ferrari, they did it in spades with the GT40, they need to go back to that cookbook.

@Bikeman315 I'm not trolling bro, facts are facts.

It's almost 20 seconds behind. For what the Z06 is, that lap time is pretty underwhelming...regardless of the price.

Let's be civil everyone. As I had mentioned before, my wise uncle told me, "If you and I were alike, one of us wouldn't be necessary." Celebrate our differences in likes and opinions. Doing that costs us nothing. Wouldn't it be a boring car world if everyone had the same make, model, color, and options? Even if I disagree with another's perspective, I can and should respect their perspective. It's not as difficult as we make it sometimes.
99.9% of us are civil. It’s the 1% that for whatever the reasons feel that they have to be disrupters. We all like a good conversation even if it gets heated at times. But at the end of the day we respect each others point of view. Either that or we just agree to disagree. But, that said, there are those who just do not play nice and they have to go..

A dedicated street car (ZO6) vs a GTD that Ford developed to only be a track car is underwhelming to you lol?

Didn’t mean to touch a nerve. It was meant in jest. And that was a little extreme. As for the rest. I like cars, don’t care what brand it is. If you paid attention said the blackwing was amazing. The major difference is I don’t have the need to try and trash one brand over another. GM’s done a great job with the C8.
You always have a hard time and try and discredit other people on here when their opinion differs from your own. All you have to do is look at your post history lol.

Charlie and I have certainly not seen eye to eye on a number of occasions but we always remain adults about it. Hell we’re only talking about cars.

The GTD is not “only“ a track car. It is actually a super street car that is also a highly competent track car.
Ford developed it as a track car, not as a "super street car" lol....I commend you for making up that term lol I've never heard a car described like that before.

Well here is Ford’s description. I like it.

The GTD is actually the street version of their GT3 and GT4 race cars.

Man, I came to this thread to see if anyone received their GTD yet and see some pictures.
Instead, it looks like a schoolyard brawl of name-calling and comparing manhood sizes....yeesh 😳

looking at it from a different perspective...

I think we all can agree that there is more time left in the ZR1 especially with a pro driver. I do think having 100s of laps is different than someone who races in Europe and constantly drives the Nürburgring.

Lets say the driver has 600 laps around the ring at 7min per lap. Thats ~8.5 laps in an hour. With a 5 hour working day that's 42.5 laps. To get to 600 at that rate will be just under 14 days. Thats like 10 open track DE weekends. Even pro drivers find time after driving a tack for several years.

Everything up to this point was to just show that I know math and passed algebra even though I didn't make a point.

Now the perspective, Chevy could've put a pro driver like Ford did but instead put their engineers who are great drivers but not the best. That tells me that even the above average driver at your track days can run a sub 7 at the ring and doesnt take pro level experience to do so. You are likely to find the ZR1 driver (Catell) at a National TT event than the GTD driver (Muller).
Buy a ZR1 and drive it with this mentality.

I probably still didnt make a point but i had to get that off my chest. Either way, if Jim Farley himself gave me a $150K discount on the GTD, I would still only be able to purchase the right front strut. Maybe both sides.

Top colors so far:
Vaughn's LFG
Black with Grey center stripe (eddiex youtbe)
White
Jay's blue

Well @MAGS1 received their 1:18 GTD model and there are pictures but the owners are not the one posting them.
Look at the glass half full.

Unfortunately none of our fellows members took delivery of their GTD yet. Like you I’m waiting for a first hand account.
