You lucked out, finding someone so dedicated to get to the bottom of this. Joe was super friendly on the phone, too. :)

A dealership that actually cares...whoda thunk?? :D
Yeah, I was told to go to McCoy-Mills Ford by my CSM because they were very pro-customer there.

You are correct. I got lucky. I was buying early from whichever dealership had the exact option package I wanted. McCoy-Mills did.

Hey guys I'm new to the forum I bought my gt and in November aand about 2 weeks after I had this problem ....the dealership was of no help at all denying service because it didn't make the sound when they drove it ....I will be looking for a second opinion it's only getting worse by day

Ford is aware of the problem and supposedly there is a fix in the works, though I don't believe there is an official TSB yet. Unfortunately, many dealers don't know anything about the squeal yet, and of course they will shrug it off if they don't hear it. There are several videos in this thread folks were kind enough to post. If you are experiencing the same thing as the videos show, I would take your car back to the dealership, show them the videos, maybe get your pads replaced (a short-lived fix, though getting the rotors wiped is lasting longer for me) and have them notify Ford. Also file a case yourself; there is a friendly Ford rep on here that will assist you (see the beginning of the thread). :)

I have a video of it and even the manager said it sounded like an old Ford model T but that if the service department doesn't hear it while driving it they cannot service it

Latest from my service advisor

I did hear back from one of the Ford engineers. He is not aware of any concerns and I am adding his comments.

I did contact Engineering myself just to confirm nothing on the Brembo brakes as I didn’t see many complaints against them. Also spoke with another person driving one with those brakes and they are not having a concern. Engineering is not looking into anything at this point on the Performance Brakes option for GT’s only the base GT’s.
We can machine rotors with on car brake lathe first, and possible replace pads showing we are trying. If still same complaint may be way customer drives vehicle, possible not aggressive enough. These pads are designed to get hot, if doesn’t get hot enough could build up some oxidation when cool causes a very loud brake noise.

Let me know when you want to come in and I will schedule an appointment. We will resurface the rotors and replace the pads.

Word is slow getting out to much of Ford about this but I have faith a fix is pending. I haven't heard of anyone complaining of this noise happening with the PP Brembos at all, either, so I am glad that was again confirmed as I have just put my feelers out for a used set. Someone is always upgrading something, so I should stumble on some eventually. :p

In the meantime I am happy to report the results from my second appointment (pretty much a wipedown of the rotors) seems to remain effective for now.:) Replacing the brake pads the first time around kept the sound at bay for maybe a few days at best.

What is your next move?

You need the service advisor to get in the car so you can reproduce the noise. Contact FordService on these forums to get a case #. Good luck.

Damn, you to? This is fricken terrible. I'll call my CSM at the end of this month to see where they're at with that fix. Fricken ridiculous.

My ear-splitting screech came back yesterday morning. It *was* colder than usual when leaving for work...but I know better. Sure enough, last night when pulling into the driveway...did it again. I was all, "Welcome back!"

I must say...the rotor wipedown lasted much, much longer than getting the pads replaced + rotors turned the first time! :p

Hope the end-of-the-month promise of a fix from Ford still stands...

Don't have the time to read through the thread, but I too have the loud ass train brake screech noise at slow speeds when cold. My car often sits 4-5 days at a time.
