Hi everyone,

So currently i have a X pipe and a C&L muffler delete on my 2022 mustang gt. I just recently got the C&L muffler delete installed and i feel like it may be a little too loud. Maybe not super loud but it sounds lowkey like a straight piped infinity. I like that it is loud but i feel like it doesnt really have a tone it is just loud. I was wondering if i should maybe go with a H pipe to make it less raspy or should I go with aftermarket resonator? And if I did go with a aftermarket resonator which ones should I get? Also I have stock Cats and stock Headers.

Put the stock resonator back on, put on a NxtStep axle back, problem solved. No rasp, low deep tone....

Borla S type was perfect for my 22 GT with stock headers and cats. It was a full cat back with X pipe and sounded great. Active too, so I could open or close the valves to adjust at will.. But in track mode, it still was reasonable and had an excellent tone...

what brand of axle back would still be loud but not crazy raspy?
I like Borla or Magnaflow other members with headers may have better recommendation. I had Magnaflow Street Catback on my 2017 had a nice deep toned rumble

A little less rasp maybe, but an un muffled Coyote sounds like @$$, almost as bad as Fart Can Hondas...... Sorry, just my 2 cents...

I have an x-pipe and roush axel back (stock header stock cats). I think it sounds great. A little bit more raspy at high rpm than maybe some other options. But it's s great sound. But I also have an ess kit so that also increases the sound enjoyment.

Best sounding? Thermal r&d. I went through the same exact stuff as you and I tried every brand before being recommended thermal and it is truly the best. (They also can 20+ hp gains with just the catback with Dyno logs to back it but take that with a grain of salt. Dynos can be iffy). But for less than 800 for 15-17 and still less than 1k for a full stainless catback for 18+ you won't find better quality anywhere. Google some clips. I'm a welder and I'll say of the big brands, Borla, Corsa, awe, thermal, thermal by far is the best quality and workmanshop plus lifetime warranty

I rock the stock exhaust with catless headers and it sounds nice great growl i love cruising the side streets with the windows down. this is coming from a roush exhaust so im damaged goods. minimal drone and it opens up nicely. flows like crap ... some people get nice neighbors some don't.
