For those with the security package, you may see "All Sensors" and "Perimeter Sensing" options when you turn the car off. What is the difference between the two options?

The "All Sensors" setting puts on the interior motion detector sensors -- so if, for example, you leave your window open and toss something into the car, the alarm will go off because it will detect motion inside the car.

What is the Perimeter Sensing? If turn Perimeter Sensing on, does it turn off the interior motion detector sensors?

Yes, it turns off the interior motion detectors, and just leaves on the perimeter sensors. You'll get a horn beep if it detects a mild impact (say, somebody taps your bumper parallel parking), and a full alarm if it senses a door opening.

If you leave it on "All Sensors" it will leave on the perimeter sensors AND the interior sensors.

It's the steering column locking.

On mt GT, the interior sensors remain on along with the exterior ones. I tested this by putting my hand inside the open window while the system (all sensors) was armed and it tripped in the interior motion sensors..

Right. When it's set to "All Sensors," then both the interior and the perimeter sensors are on. When it's set to "Perimeter Sensors," then the interior sensors are off. Or should be.

It would be nice if those little LEDs on the top of the door panels did more than just light up dimly for a split second after the car is locked. They also ought to blink to indicate the alarm is armed (similar to Audi vehicles).

the interior motion sensors don't work or are disabled in a convertible when the top is down

What if you have All Sensors on and then you have a passenger in the car and you leave and lock the car with your keyfob. If they move around will the car alarm go off? Cause i've been doing this with my dog. I would go to the grocery store, leave her there with the windows open, lock the doors and come out after 5 minutes. I dont ever hear an alarm except one time I observed the tail lights blinking but no sound was coming out.
