2019 GT PP1, I was resetting the clock and the screen locked up and wouldn't let me do anything. No returning to main menu or anything. So, I drove it to pick up my daughter anyway. On the way, it would randomly turn all blue and occasionally go to the rear camera screen. No controls for Radio worked, but the manual controls for the AC did. I shut it off when I got home, and it didn't go off. The set-up screen stayed on for a bit. I tried to start it and see if it would boot up, but no good. So I hooked up the maintainer and called it a day. (It stays on the maintainer when not being driven)

I checked this morning and everything worked fine. Reset the clock no problem. Any ideas and fixes appreciated.

Now that I think about it, I seem to remember it did some kind of auto update a few weeks ago. I can't remember what it was.

Everything is working now? Hard to troubleshoot if you can’t reproduce the issue…

I will say that I had an issue with my screen and the dealership ended up replacing my APIM module to fix it.

I realize the problem can't be diagnosed if it's not occurring. I was trying to see if anyone else has experienced a similar issue and what or how it was addressed. Trying to be proactive, not reactive.

Yeah, it’s tricky. My issue wasn’t exactly like yours but from what I read when I was researching my issue, the APIM module might be related.

Hopefully this was just a one-off issue and your system behaves!

So, I haven't really driven the car lately, but I did today. Took it for a little ride and the screen worked fine, for a little while. Got back home and it wouldn't allow volume adjust by the steering wheel or radio. I shut it off and the screen wouldn't go to the off setting. It stayed on the driving setting, if that makes sense. It took it 5 minutes to go blank.

Has anyone else's done this? Fixed? Swapped out? Reboot? Any ideas at all are appreciated.

Look up how to do a reset on the head unit. Mine froze up a few months ago in Indianapolis. Had to pull over and look up how to do a reset. Worked like a charm. Might try that.

Great idea. Is it on here or Google?

General settings, factory reset... Should always be done after updates and you stated it took one correct? Anytime I run the update via Cyan Labs as soon as it comes back up I do a master reset and move on from there... Knock on wood 🪵, no issues as of yet!!!

I found it and reset it. I haven't driven it as of yet to check it. But I definitely won't let it update again.

So, replaced the 6-year-old battery today. Still acting up. Starting to irritate me now lol. No power button working and touchscreen inop too. I posted in another thread about it too.
Any ideas appreciated.

Update. I let it sit for a bit and then did the forced sync reset. So far everything is functioning again. I really have a love hate relationship with this car lol. Great when it's working as it should, but so much depends on the electrical system, it's scary sometimes.

My screen on both my Fords loses its dam mind every once in awhile…so far all I gotta do is pull over, shut the car down, wait 20-30 seconds, fire back up and all is well 🫠
