Who else has wonky usb issues with android auto and apple car play?

I have found that if I remote start the hub doesn’t work.

This seems like a software issue.

My Escape does this, remote start won't run the USB hub until I get into the car and hit the start button. Then it works.

Even after I hit the start button it doesn’t work. This has a 100% failure rate for me.
This is the problem trusting ms with software.

A little late to the party.....but I've been dealing with my music thumb drive not being recognized for a little bit after a restart. I think the problem is that power is cut to the USB ports when the car is shut off...and door opened. Upon re-entry, the USB ports aren't powered until the car is turned on. My thinking is that it takes time for SYNC to re-index the drive. My 2016 PI Utility acts the same...but immediately starts playing from the iPod...but needs to index.

My problem recently has been Sync not recognizing all the songs on my USB drive. If I have 20 songs in a particular folder, sometimes it recognizes all 20 and other times only 18 or 19. The USB drive works perfectly fine on my laptop & computer every time. Should I reboot?
