Can’t believe ZR1s are gonna be in the public’s hands before these, they already look outdated, we’ve been seeing the darn things for almost 2 years it feels.

S550/650 Mustangs are current equivalent of 928 and AM Vantage only better with cheaper interiors. Amazing value in any trim / option package.

Very few people on the planet can max any version out on the track consistently without burning out brakes and tires prematurely on these behemoths, nevermind GTD that needs a great global class racer.

No one got the GTD yet? Those Canadians making problems again blocking free and reciprocal trade hahah.

Looks like someone’s either off their meds or hitt’n the bottle pretty hard. And if you say you’re not, I’d state otherwise. Haha

Both of our GT's have been on tracks and have been pushed.

2 GTD's at Carlisle this weekend. One was driven by a team member from Dearborn.
Glad to hear. I would like to see that. I wish they would put a driver on that car at Daytona, maybe then they'd understand.

@Epiphany. I owe you a phone call. We will catch up very soon.. long day tomorrow or today if you look at it that way.

Eh, not really. Not that I've seen. There are few guys who I track with, who's results I would respect, but they are passing on the car for similar reasons.

The problem is specific to Daytona. I am not aware of another track that would have this issue because there is more time with foot off the floor at other tracks. Daytona runs mostly at wide open throttle until the inside, where its on and occasionally off for the turns.
I dont see any way you (or I ) would get 30 min at Daytona without about another 5 gals. But, that now adds weight to the car.

the added weight of 5 gallons fuel is negligible given the +4200 lb curb weight. Also, the benchmark GT3 RS offers an extended fuel tank of 23.7 gallons, for comparison

You wouldn't need 5 gallons. Probably more like 2 or 3. But sure, round it up to 5.

So, since I am MUCH slower than you, I should make the 30 minutes in mine.... :sunglasses:

All kidding aside Jim, you are a great driver. But most don't have this problem at Daytona because they aren't pushing the car hard (as fast as it can go, ie foot on the floor at every moment you can).

You will discover this issue with no doubt when you get your new 500 out on the track.

The famed Liquid Blue Metallic could be an option for a good GTD color…

Cars are shipping. Lots of pix are out there now of the early Ford marketing cars, that have been on the ground for a bit. End user cars are very very soon.
