Hi all just upgraded my 2020 vert b/o system now above 15 front speakers cut out back seat fine.

Had done at shop taking it back next week trying to get insight ahead of that if I can

Have a stock head unit/pac/rockford t1000.5 amp/ changed out sub in stock enclosure to dvc4/focal coax back seat/focal 3 way with crossover front. The front should sound the best but that’s where the problem is.

I switched input and output of amp didn’t change anything so I’m kinda thinking amp is fine.

Shop thinking something about a mic or something Rockford told them.

Thx ahead of time I do love having a stang big following.

What happens when you swap the input RCAs to the amp... do the rears begin cutting out at volume 15? If the fronts still cut out, then it's between the amplifier and the speakers.

A number of issues could cause this, but it's likely over-voltage, over-heating, or a short between the amp and speakers (crimped wire, etc)

There should be a signal indicator on the amp. A yellow light is over-volage and red is thermal issues. Is it illuminating when fronts drop out?

I swap both inputs and outputs leading me to believe it’s to the speakers, they are components that fit in each case f the three openings on each side, both sides act the same which is what’s weird

They are focals that weren’t cheap

How would we get to over voltage they are rated to 75 each rms and that’s the amp maxed according to the birth certificate. The amp is set to about 65% so we shouldn’t be close. I’ve put 50 watts in 25 watt speakers without this issue after a while they sound like crap though.

Not the speakers cut out, but the amp does.
Did the shop or you use an integration device like an idatalink a2b, pac-audio or m0bridge?
If not, did you use high-level in? If high-level in, did you use load resistors or did you disable the speaker detection?

In the first post he says he has a PAC amp pro.

Sudden cut outs like that usually indicate an overload protection. Since it's isolated to the front, check the speaker mountings for a stray wire touching ground like at the speaker terminal. Also, how are all the front speakers wired? If you have the front channel driving the door, mid and tweet without one crossover for all then you may have an area where the load on the amp drops too low.

Load wise you should be fine, check all wires involved and make sure none are even close enough to ground to think about making contact. Even the smallest whisker of a wire, or a spider wire moving into a body panel or an exposed terminal.

You may further isolate by pulling off L and R individually to see if one channel is the culprit.
