Has anyone else dealt with this problem and solved it? My device was working fine till a couple weeks later I wanted to try to read my vehicle and it wouldn’t work. I also have pcmTec multi tune installed and not sure if that’s what’s causing this problem as it didn’t happen before.

The PCMtec tune is most likely the issue. Forscan does the same thing when I have a tune installed on my explorer or the mustang

I’ll look into it thanks. Is reading the vehicle necessary when I already have the tunes?

You may have to uninstall the PCMtec tune before the TDN app can read your vehicle. I think they all use some type of script or something in the tune to prevent other devices from accessing the PCM while you have a tune installed. I have an old SCT X4 that will not read until I uninstall whatever tune I have loaded.

Thanks. Guess I’ll revert to the stock tune file.

If you're trying to read someone else's tune, then they probably have it locked and it won't read shit. If its an unlocked tune, then it should read. Otherwise, stock is all you have.
