I will. Thanks.
He might know how to do it for all we know, but most people would probably never think to ask for it. I would imagine the usual mindset would be focused on better tires, than solving traction at the software level.

I would 100% pay Wengerd for a revision if he could help me regain WOT in 1st and 2nd gear lol.

Maybe just screenshot what k4fxd or engineermike said about modulating the throttle blade and see what Wengerd thinks.

Almost forgot, gen3 can also do boost by ethanol content, boost by lambda, and boost by egt if you so please.

Agree. I cannot wait to see how the smoothboost works. But, later if Kaizen makes a relay to work with the smoothboost controller, now I would have Boost control by way of CAN messages like RPM, Throttle position and front and rear wheel speed to ramp boost using a 12 position trim POT with pre set boost ramps. That would be the icing on the cake. BUT: I would rather control my boost using the boost valve then the TB. We will see

I dont have enough skin in the game to know if the throttle blade approach is worse than the boost valve approach.

Curious either way how this goes!

Anytime you can use the stock logic to control the engine is the better route to take. But I understand the new toy aspect of bolting something on the car.

Yes, I agree, tuning to control boost level is more precise then using a blower boost valve to control boost but, im keeping it simple and I really dont want to by tuning software and a dyno and then learn data logging my car software bla bla bla. I just dont have that desire. Sometimes its just easier to keep things simple, and this way does the job for me. .

The thing that I hate most about the stock tune and my current tune is the inconsistency. Sometimes it’s fine and other times it is so jerky. I can be coming to a stop driving super nice and it will lurch embarrassingly bad for no reason at like 5mph ..but 80% of the time it’s cool.
If I’m dropping $900 for another tune it needs to fix all that.
will it?
Bro that's exactly what mine did too we prob have same tuner. 3rd gear in normal mode coming to a stop will try to rear end rhe car in front of you. All other modes in 7th gear the odd time 6th which isn't so bad but still annoying

Is Wengerd doing a good job with the 2017 GT with the 6 speed auto? I feel like the shifting could be better. I just have an CAI and axle back

I’ve written on my issues previously. Wengerd is my choice when I get a tune here in a few months.
my trans is frustrating to say the least. Random shifting on hard pulls after 110mph. I have a lifetime powertrain warranty with the dealership, so I spoke with them. Collected data on temperatures and other information. They basically said to let it blow up. If they can’t get it to do it in the shop, they can’t do anything. Has anyone had issues like this and Wengerd helped?
I spoke with him once via email, response was quick and polite. Will 100% be going with him. Just trying to figure out whether the trans issue is mechanical or not first.

The 6 speed is pretty solid from Ford. The factory tune just has it shifting way too soon so it hunts for a gear. If you have erratic crap happening it most likely is the valve body. They wear out where the solenoids plug into it. The aftermarket has steel sleeves which eliminates this problem

I have a 2018 10 speed. This is my second gen 3 with the 10 speed. First one was fine. This one keeps having this issue. On a hard pull, the trans will get hot and jump 40+ degrees. White smoke comes out the back, shifting all over the place. It’s frustrating to say the least. It’s done this to me at least 3 times now. Takes up to 30 minutes to cool back down. Dealership doesn’t seem to have any answers.
