I just went tracking with my car and here is my cooling upgrade
-csf radiator (im having higher cht than stoch gt rad)
- fat fender garage 10r80 active gear cooler
-mishimoto oil to air cooler
And in lap 2 the gear leaked oil from the original lines due to some pressure the temp were unholy and start slipping and the cht reached 230 degree even before all of this i didnt reach that level that fast im removing the gear cooler fixing the broken lines and going to pp rad or original rad keeping the air oil cooler for now and starting from there tbh i think this platform isnt worth it

What were the ambient temps when you did this? You're in the Middle East correct?

Also have you done any airflow mods like open grill and hood venting? You can have all the best coolers in the world but if you don't get airflow to them (and out) then they don't do much.

I did not to tbh maybe i need to look into this the ambient temp is 20c with all other cars running just fine except for mine i will remove the gear cooler because it caused high pressure for sure on the line and leakage as for air flow what do you suggest i do before i remove the radiator

Open up the grill and get rid of all the blockages (you can do it yourself or replace the grill with one already open then get a vented hood. Those have helped more than the radiator. Some examples below:

Also just for reference why im removing the external gear cooler its what im guessing is excessive pressure from choke point somewhere on the system here is where the oil leaked from needless to say im replacing them to be safe

edit: the one sold the filter is the official dealership and they are doing it to other owners as well now

Yes i know for long stent you need alot but that was normal 10 min session i always fo in a very cold 15 c weather now car acting normal so my guess either filter or oil issue or mix of the two 10 c diff at all time min
Yeah already sunk 20k in suspension mod and break and cooling at this level i will sell the car once done financing in 2 years and just get 911 gt3 used or gt4
Edit: the car have rad and oil cooler and will get grill remove and open hood so cooling also got some love (if its behave well for next 6 months i will reward her with diff cooler)

Ok so i got my hood replaced with gt500 kr edition replica which has more louvers got totally open louver and the temp still hit 120 cht C in the autocross track in comparison my friend stock cooling gt22 maxed 90 (manual though) . I know i pushed harder but the difference is so high for short track could it be
-that my bigger rad isnt getting enough cfm and/or water pump cant keep up ?
-the air oil cooler instead of water cooled oil isnt the best setup ?
i have another shot at the track next Friday what is the advice to do here ? the ambient temp is 18-20 c so its not hot to cause this

Are you running autocross or road course track?

In my post #443 above, I kept the water/oil cooler and then added the sandwich plate and my own air/oil cooler. CHT always runs 228F no matter how long I am on track. Although it's a lot of work you could put the OEM water/oil cooler back on and then pipe over to your Mishi oil cooler. I think the OEM cooler helps more than others admit.

I'm not sure what to think about your water cooling situation.

Pushing slightly harder will definitely have a big difference in how hot the engine gets, as does RPM. If I go 9/10 my CHTs would blowup to 250+, going 6/10 I can keep them in the mid-high 230s all day, and if I'm putting around at 3/10 they stay in the 220s. All on the same day.

Couple things about your and your buddie's situation. An autox event is generally slow(er) speeds than most regular tracks. You are not going to get the same airflow in and out so I'm not really surprised that a vented hood didn't make much of a difference. Also your buddy only hitting 90 (which is 194 F) means he wasn't going at it at ALL! That sort of CHT is for people that just cruise lightly, any meaningful acceleration and your temps will instantly climb over 200. So the fact that he wasn't getting out of the 190s means he wasn't doing anything anywhere near what you were doing.

I usually do track and that what is the build geared to the autocross is an easy access thing near me
I did add gear cooler and had disaster at the track no more diy for me mechanics here have no knowledge of performance mod
