Update:

FORscan is showing 4 DTC's related to the IPC -

U2100:00 - Initial Configuration Not Complete
U3000:04 - Control Module (System Internal Failures)
U0102:00 - Lost Communication With Transfer Case Control Module
B15A4:56 - Transmission Type Mismatch (Invalid/Incompatible Configuration)

These are the ONLY DTC's present, and as I expected they all relate to the Instrument Panel Cluster / IPC Module.

Are you able to compare your IPC module's ASBUILT data with the one from Ford? In Forscan you should be able to save a backup the existing ASBUILT.

https://www.motorcraftservice.com/Home/SetCountry?returnUrl=/AsBuilt

I don't recall how to do it, but I would use forscan to make a backup of the ASBUILT, and then reprogram the ASBUILT it downloads from Ford.

I am probably missing something here! The car should be under warranty? Everything done other than the battery replacement was done by the dealer !Why are you not wanting the dealer to fix it under warranty?
To me some thing is not adding up to me ! Please help me understand !!!

I agree with Joe, unless your car for some reason has no warranty, let Ford TS your parasitic battery drain issue or tune related issue. Good Luck and keep us posted.

I was looking into that last night, I already have the ASBUILT data from the Motorcraft site (and it definitely does not match what is now on the vehicle), but since this is Instrument Panel Cluster related I'm just going to have the local dealer fix it. My guess is a voltage spike cleared or corrupted some of the values in the IPC's non-volatile memory during the battery replacement, but I'll let the dealer figure it out and tell me afterwards.

Everything I've done to-date after replacing the battery has been diagnosis, I posted on these forums for feedback on the issue because I enjoy learning about the vehicles in my garage. All my other modified toys were built by myself or with the help of family and friends, but are other OEMs. Since this is the 1st major issue I've had with the vehicle I figured it would be a good excuse to take some time and gain some knowledge. I've never heard of a vehicle's odometer resetting to zero after a battery replacement, so it definitely piqued my interest. Everything I've ever read says that should be impossible, but modern Fords are a different beast.

I'll be posting again after I take her to the local dealer, hopefully they give me more information on the actual root cause other than "It was an electrical issue".

Do you have a file of the data before the issue started and after the whipple was installed?

i think that is your best bet! I wish you well .I know that it is frustrating , but it will all work out! I don’t think that I would mention about putting battery cables together? 🤛👍

Wondering if you made the last jump connection properly (not to neg post). I have *heard* that if you go to neg batter post it can mess up the electronics of the car.

Who is in possession of the software update that came with the Whipple? You or the original installing dealer?

Aye, I always ground to an exposed / paint-free section of the body on the vehicle I'm jumping.

Service at the local dealership is scheduled for tomorrow morning, we'll see what they have to say.

For those who asked, I own the Tomahawk that was provided by the original dealer after the Whipple install, and the memory card has the .REQ and .BIN files (and the APP.LDR file, of course) on it.
