I have a F1TV subscription. It’s finally in 4K.

Anyways. I’m so excited for this season. Only because of Hamilton lol. Looking at comparisons between the SF24 and SF25, the seat has been moved back by maybe 2 inches. Some sources say it’s half to a full second faster at Fiorano. However who knows what spec they were running.

I think some teams aren’t going to bother much with upgrades this year so they c a concentrate on next year. Kick/Stake/Sauber stopped caring since last year.

Hello; Read the link. Not surprised at Bikemans take but do disagree. The British like Bikeman continue to hold a grudge against Max and anything associated with Max. The old & tired Max stole a championship from LH crud.
Sadly too much of F1's top level also seem to be gunning for Max. Witness the penalties handed down last season and continuing this season already. I get there would be a big media & advertising boon should LH get that extra championship. Reminds me of the hype which has surrounded wrestling at times. Even NASCAR has fallen into the silly stuff at times.

But I also get the play and hope. Somehow handicap a rival who cannot be beaten fairly. I lost respect for Ferrari and Michael S years ago during a US GP at Indianapolis. The strongest rivals to Ferrari had a tire compound which did not work. ( this was when there were more than one tire supplier) Cars running that tire had to withdraw from the race for clear safety reasons. Some serious crashes in practice. The tire company offered to fly in better suited tires but Ferrari balked citing a rule. That race turned into an exhibition run for the Ferraris with Schumacher doing all the podium stuff as if he had actually raced someone.

I do not know if Ferrari can field a good car and also run a proper race strategy. I have felt for some time Hamilton needs a superior car to compete. Max showed last season he can win in a lesser car by both doing so much better than his teammate and the great race where he came from the back to win in the rain.

My favorite driver is not Max. He has been in a worse car. But put Alonzo & Max in equal cars and I figure Max will win most of the time. Put LH in the same level car and he will be a consistent third.

Don't know what you based your Lewis Fernando ranking on but Lewis' first year in F1 was teammate to 2 time champion Fernando. They scored the same points even after Lewis threw away a big championship lead by crashing entering the pits in China AND after Fernando was so rattled by Lewis' pace that he refused to leave the pits in Hungary qualifying preventing Lewis' final run.

Most would believe that Lewis (and every other rookie in history) would get better. Few would believe that 18 years more for Fernando would result in even more improvement.

Not debating talent/skill vs car superiority, but Lewis as a pup vs Fernando as a multi champion in the same car is the best gauge of their relative merit.

Not a fan of his dad AT ALL. That said if this is how my son was treated, they could kiss my … on him ever going back. You going to tell us if your son was treated negatively in force some where you‘d march him in to take it. I highly doubt it. Goes for Horner to. Wouldn’t hurt Redbull one bit to stay away from that stuff if they chose to. As far as promotions goes Redbull out does them all many times over.

This ^.

At Silverstone in 2019 every time LH passed the grandstand the crowd would emphatically clap. Every time Seb passed they'd boo. Ridiculous behaviour IMHO.

Do you see what happens at the Dutch Grand Prix? They are called fans for a reason.

Hello; I am going by what i saw the last two seasons more than anything else. Both Alonzo & Max showed up generally better than a teammate in a similar car. Max much better. Lewis was often bested by his teammate in the MB.
But such is armchair racing and my projection of three drivers in equal cars will not happen. I also acknowledge Alonzo is long in the tooth and the oldest active driver I think.

Interesting. You realize you fall in the definition you posted when it comes to Verstappen.
Absolutely not. I acknowledge that Max is an incredibly talented driver. His record speaks for itself. But he continues to show his immaturity every time something doesn’t go his way. I partially blame Jos for encouraging this behavior. I am far from the only one who feels this way. Only Max fans refuse to see it.

Hello; What do you see when you look in the mirror. Does not seem that you know yourself. No matter. I am an Alonzo fan for what such is worth. Max is hard to ignore. I even understand why you lump me in with the Max fans after the back and forth we had a few years ago when Max took his first championship.
At least one Alonzo fan also does not see it.

Not a fan of Max and Horner but there is absolutely no place for booing at a f**king launch event. Totally ridiculous.
They could boo the cringeworthy ’launch event’ if they like. But the British ‘fans’ look stupid and shallow from my view.
