@2L8IWON - 130lbs lighter than the GT350 and is 500lbs lighter than the GT. Revised Magnaride shocks, areo tweaks, 19x11f, 19x11.5r tires, and obviously the deletion of luxury items... But they can be added back if desired by customer.

I'm having a very hard time believing it is 500 lbs lighter than the regular GT. That seems impossible.

MotorTrend probably won't even review it... And if they do it will be a rainy day, add conti dry slicks to the car, and go WOT on a turn and total the car. But it's the cars fault...

Anything is possible with carbon fiber body parts & wheels.

The Ford Racing School/Ford Racing page just posted on FB that the GT350R is *500* pounds lighter than a normal GT.

I cannot believe that, but this *is* an official Ford page.
I hope this is right! This would be a huge deal, but that would make it at 3300+ pounds, I am not believing it.

For those complaining about the look of the rear spoiler. This is a track car, function over form, every time. If anybody buys this car and does not track it, they should be kicked square in the plums.
Fixed it for ya.

But seriously I agree, function over form every time in this instance.

Holy shit! If that is true, OMG:eyebulge::eyebulge::eyebulge:

That would put it about 3200-3300lbs and that would mean the regular GT350 would be 3450lbs...Hmmm...that seems off, way off. But who knows.
If true, that is excellent work Ford. Nice! :thumbsup:

Okay, fire away, I'm gonna take a few gut punches for the following comment, but why no performance automatic for the halo Mustang? With a good 7-8 speed torque converter trans (like the new Corvette), or a dual-clutch trans, this will smoke the M4, Corvette, and possibly the 911 (especially if those weight numbers have any truth to them).

Manual transmissions are for fun, not speed. I have manuals, and I love them too, but for a car to be the fastest it can, it must have an automatic nowadays.

Even with the manual, I do love this car! Good job Ford!:ford:

No radio
No A/C
Funny thing is car appears to have a glass roof and the pics have the touch screen radio. Hopefully its awesome
