Hey guys, seriously considering an ESS on my 21 Mach 10-speed w/Wengerd tune and 28k miles.
Looking for opinions and answers to some questions from those that may have experience with the ESS.
I'm coming up on 4 years of ownership and the car is solid, done all the maintenance and upgrades so far on my own. Was thinking about trading the car in for something else with a stick but not really wanting a new car payment.
Not a daily but I drive year round in dry weather with 275/19 rear all-seasons for the Chicago winter and 275/19 Summer tires for warm weather. I don't drag race, but may casually hit the track every once in a while.
Planning on doing the lowest boost ,125mm pulley, gt500 injectors, plugs, and 170deg t-stat. No headers, stock Cats.
So here are my questions and concerns-
-Does a super charger greatly lessen the life of my Coyote?
-Will I need bigger tires to hook up or am I ok for a while?
-Will I be able to pass emissions still?
-Do I need to run 5w50 oil
-will the stock cats hold up ok
-does the Intercooler affect any of the Mach 1 coolers when installed?
-Overall is it worth $8000
My installer said 8-10 hours at $130hr which is way less than another quote I got for $2k
Also going to have him change the trans fluid to Amsoil with additive and rear diff while he's under there.
Should I do it? Wife is requiring contract saying I keep the car for 4 more years if I do it.. LOL
