Sounds like a possible cat failure. It happened to me and I had aftermarket high flow cats with LTHs. Here is a sound clip of what it sounded like with blown cats.

This^^^ It's my understanding that stock cats with a supercharger can be a problem. The stock cats are know not to hold up very well. That is coming from a Ford Mechanical that works on Roush Mustangs and Roush trucks.I’m still suspicious of your cats. It is possible they’ve disintegrated and are now clogging your mufflers. Your Roush setup shouldn’t misfire due to exhaust. I was running the same basic setup through a single 2.5” exhaust and it still pulled clean. I failed cats and then it started misfiring.
I really need to proof read my comments before posting. I hope you can understand what I was trying to say. This^^^ It's my understanding that stock cats with a supercharger can be a problem. Any signs of blockage in the active mufflers?Moved back to the standard mufflers (non active) and the sound is much more bearable and zero misfires, revs smoothly all the way.
The active exhaust is straight through on the valved tip.Does anyone know what the factory active mufflers look like inside? Straight thru? Always wondered since I bought my car... love the function and sound with the steeda x and factory headers/cats.

The pricing is comperable to a used GT 500 setup.
Thank you EngineermIke. Are the GT 500 Cats sold seperately or do you need to cut them off the exhaust connection pipe and weld them to the 5.0 exhaust connection pipe in place of the stock catalysts?5.2 headers will not bolt to 5.0 heads.
Thank you for the weblink, LOL WUT! I am preparing for another stock catylyst failure for next spring. Car is parked away for the northern winter. It is -7 degrees below zero Fahrenheit here in North Dakota this morning.
