Go run 97 south, cross the border into Oregon and about ~30 minutes south of the border there is an old abandoned gas station…great place for pics 😬👍🏼

No garage queens for me either, took this in April after running down 97 to weed, then over to Eureka. The highway between Redding and Eureka was a great time. After the redwoods we headed up 101 all the way to Tillamook, then headed back inland. Great drive

Got done working that Thursday, went home and picked up the wife. We dropped by the bank to make a deposit, and when I got back to the car I asked her, “north or south?”
She said “south” so that is the way we went.

This pic was from a flying trip to Glacier NP, the day after she got us a pass for the going-to-the-sun road

We made it to Libby MT from Central Oregon in about 6 hours

That first picture looks like Dinucci's out near Valley Ford on Petaluma Tomales Road, and I figure you took Highway 1 to the town of Bodega to see the Birds school. That's a nice drive.

You nailed it. I stayed overnight in Bodega Bay on my way down to LA. I went from there and drove the road they filmed the final drag race scene on for American Graffiti, i.e., the fictional “Paradise Rd.” in the movie. I understand Skywalker Ranch is there somewhere.

Excellent post. Did exactly this. Was giving people rides at work today. Met new people, people who love cars and can talk cars, and people who couldn't but had a genuine love of learning and just like cool looking vehicles. Great day.
I like to take people for rides in mine too. Most people have never even ridden in anything like my GT350 and have no idea how capable a car like that is. The breaking, cornering and acceleration is just so much more than what most people have experienced. I was on a road trip with my girl the other day and playing lightly with the car on one of my favorite back roads. I never use anything but my own lane and for me I was barley using the car. She mentioned that I was driving pretty quickly. I said that I understood and would back off but that the car was capable of FAR FAR more than I was showing. She said she wanted to see, I think with a bit of disbelief in her voice like, “Oh yeah, sure it is”. So I kicked it up to about 90% (was at about 60%) of what it’s capable of staying in my own lane for only about a 1/4 mile. She was CLAMPED to the seat! 👀 I said I still wasn’t even close because if we were on a track we would be using the entire paved area. She had no idea that a car could do that and I told her this is a fast car but there are much faster ones out there. She simply had no clue.

I am guilty! I've done 1,100 miles in 1.5 years. Since I don't drive the car much issues have been popping up.

I have a Davies Craig electric water pump kit and now the pump is screaming. They covered it under warranty (great Company) but it was because I don't drive the car much. Have to get these things up to temp.

So I've decided to drive my car to the Mod Nationals in Bradenton (November) which is 3 hours each way. My best friend who has a Challenger Hellcat Redeye lives in Lakeland so staying there.

I need to drive this thing.
