I liked my '05 SSR a lot, but I LOVED my '56 Speedster.

I have always loved the 2005 TVR Sagaris. They never did put that car in Gran Turismo. Always had to be the Cerbera.

If a Dodge Viper and a Jaguar had a kid.

I dig it though! Never seen this one.

The color was called Aqua Blur Metallic, and it was a stock GM offering. It was also available on trucks and SUVs, but under a different name. It flopped from blue to green, with some purple, depending on the amount and angle of the light. I wanted a blue SSR, but they only came in red, black and silver for the first two years. For '05, the engine was upgraded from the clunky 5.3 to the 6-liter 'vette LS2. That, and the new color, convinced me to order one. When I took my wife to see the "blue" color on a vehicle on the dealer's lot, it was in the shade and looking kinda green. She didn't want to hurt my feelings, so she tactfully said, "Well, it's blue-ish." That became the license plate - BLUISH.

Nice choice Alex. I love the 2005-2006 GT’s but if I had a choice I’d take the new gen…

I always loved the 05-06 Ford GT's, they were a modern take on the original GT40's but refined to make it look even better. I also would love to have a 96 mystic cobra, nothing special about it other than the paint, but gawd it was gorgeous.

Fun fact about the 96 mystic, ford only built 2000 in that color and they were all coupes, no verts and the only color interior was black and the only option was upgrade to leather seats over cloth, (the 96 mystic was the only cobra to get black cloth interior) and only 10 buyers opted to stay with cloth seats, the other 1990 were leather.

If you ever run across a 96 mystic with cloth seats, just know it's one of 10

Haha can’t go wrong with that either. Seen both up close, there’s just something about the new ones that grab the eyes. And they sound really good for being short 2 cylinders 🤭, although the 05-06 does sound better.

Seems like the popularity of boutique cars has simmered down since the 90s-00's

Did you have a favorite? Mustang or not.

The first one I fell in love with was the Saleen S281-E
By boutique I assume you mean a car that was modified by someone like Saleen, Shelby, ASC, etc, and not just a low volume production car? I have to go with the Shelby GT350...

Well here’s the meaning of boutique…..

Boutique comes from a French word of the same spelling, which means any small shop. The word has its roots in the Greek word apotheke, meaning "a warehouse." The same root word also gave rise to the English word apothecary. The word boutique often has an air of exclusivity.
