I have a 2020 GT A10, Cobra Jet Intake, Cams, E85, LTH, (497 WHP/418 TQ). I took it to the drag strip last week, fully expecting to be deep into the 11's. I was sadly disappointed. My best run was a 12.09 @ 121 mph with a 2.11 60' time. The car doesn't launch hard at all. I have a drag pack with Nitto NT555RII's but I didn't even need to do a burnout, no traction issues. I had the car in drag mode, advance track off, foot braking it to approx 2000 rpm. It's just a pig off the line but once I get into 3rd gear it goes like hell. What am I missing? Perhaps my torque comes in so high with the CJ that I can't get enough power to move the car off the line? Is it as simple as I need a converter to get to it? I'm running the car in drive. Do I need to put the shifter into sport mode, does that make a difference. I need some guidance. I am tuned by Lund. Thank you.

What converter do you have? A-10 and 3.55's should launch hard.

That is your problem. Probably need something in the 3500 RPM range

@80FoxCoupe could give you good advice.

I didn't do any logs at the track. I have been driving the car for a couple summers as it sits, just never got it to the drag strip. I did talk to Lund about this and they asked that I record some logs for them next time I go.

ok then, before you drop a cool grand or two (after install) on convertor…
…perhaps run a couple logs, even if you do some Mexico runs 😉

Thanks. I just sent you a PM. I'll get some logs and share them.

2.11 60' isn't too bad for first time at the track. But yeah it should/could be better.

Try not foot braking it…

stage and just flash the converter, I get 1.5 60fts that way, 121 says it’s making some power for sure.

I always run slower when I try to foot brake the car.
