Man I forget how meaty they look since they are always tucked under the fender.
I always have the same reaction, Alex and no wonder there's a good bit of tire noise. <smile>

Battery gear is good, but I think with a property as big as yours and with so much lawn, gas power still has a place.
Yes, it does D and that's why I picked up the new Echo edger and why I repaired the gas trimmer. Strange name you have for the weed whackers. <grin>

I have no need or want for a rider or zero turn....................but I do currently have 11 different push mowers.
OMG! And I will presume that you don't have any clients with a large lawn. It would take me two solid DAYS to mow with a self-propelled push mower!

They are the best gas blower on the market.
I knew about Stihl's rep long ago when working for a tree service company, those are the only saws those West Viriginian climbers would use. But, I stayed with Echo for parts exchange and similar maintenance.

Husqvarna 525BX - I bought this to replace my worn out Stihl. I hate this thing, its hard to start, doesn't have as much power, overall, a dud.
I had a Husky saw and while I used it for years, it was always a PITA and when it gave up the ghost, I went with a 60cc Echo Timber wolf.

echo-timber-wolf.jpg

Husqvarna 522L - this is by far the best line trimmer I have ever had.
Now that surprises me after my troubles with the chainsaw. I've been very happy with the Echo trimmers I've had although none of them make replacing the line easy.

Stihl HSA-56 - this was the first battery powered tool I bought, for the reasons outlined above. Battery life is brilliant on this unit, originally I carried my gas-powered unit "just in case" but never needed it. Brilliant machine.
I also have an Echo hedge trimmer that I have only for the Wedelia ground cover around the trees in front. It does the job but I hate hedge trimmers. They are SO damn dangerous and it's SO easy to react the wrong way and grab the damn oscillating blades.

I didn't intend on having 4 chainsaws, it sort of just happened.
I've had three at one time so you're not the only crazy on the planet. <smile>

Mine is powered by the Honda GX25, such a lovely little engine.
Without a doubt, that is my favorite push mower engine. They always start first time but the only Honda motor I still have is on the gas pw.

I think that's all of them
Are you sure? <BSEG>

Roll on to this year, and the same team were all back on gas - No, I didn't ask
Not the least bit surprised. As you said, you would need a dedicated charging station for LOTS of batteries. And those type crews are all about going FAST and screwing around every half hour with a new battery would almost certainly kill the electric advantage.

A lime green Mustang - what's not to like ... ?
TOO funny, WD!

Yes, they are noisy beasts :)...

OH, by the way, if you look close, this highlights the reason why I love KCx PSS for tire dressing. These tires were dressed 3 washes ago, and have been scrubbbed with tire cleaner 3 times and not redressed... I use P&S Undressed every time.. They still are nice and black and look decent. :)

Granted, Sarah doesn't get driven much so she's always pretty clean but I get the same tire dressing results as you described with OG's tire dressing hell, with almost any tire dressing! <grin> Even so, I scrub that rubber hard every time she gets a bath, and I always put on a new coat afterward. Obsessiveness can be a friend or an enemy. <BSEG>

Yeah I scrub every time, and if the foam isn't brown I send it. I only reapply dressing when the tires aren't nice and black anymore. I, like you don't care for shiny tires. And I just CANT buy from OG. Sorry, I am sure he is an awesome guy but his demeanor and voice is like nails on a chalk board to me... Him and Pan the Advertiser are just the worst to me..

Soooooo excited to see the full Armour Detail Supply range go on sale at Detailing Shed today!

https://detailingshed.com.au/collections/armour-detail-supply

ADSrange.webp

Armour Detail Supply (ADS) are only a young company, but they have certainly made an impact, many calling them the next Carpro or Koch Chemie. What I love about this company is the gusto they have brought to the industry, a young bloke with a passion and drive to succeed. Well, its paying off because products like Hero and Amplify are huge demand across the US.

While the coating line has been available for a few months now, including THE best wheel coating on the market, the maintenance line has only just arrived. I basically ordered one of everything to sample and I can't wait to try them out, especially the above-mentioned Hero rinse-less wash and Amplify quick detailer. I haven't been this excited for a new detailing brand for a while now.

I am so glad. I LOVE ADS stuff. Hero is even better than absolute to me. And amplify is awesome. The shampoo is fantastic
Also the adapt waterless wash is great for quick clean up’s’.

I DO know what you mean, Alex and I had that same reaction when I started watching Matt's channel but to me, Pan's voice is worse.

That said, OG has some good stuff but for the most part, I just go with reviews here and elsewhere when making a purchase decision and avoid the OG vids where possible.

I don't know when Larry started his channel but I use to watch him all the time. Then I believe everything was done "in house" literally until eventually the channel caught on and I suspect that his success is due to his dedication to the subject and somehow coming up with at least a few products that were as good as or better than the popular products from the big guys.

Eventually, I ordered a couple of his products and was sorely disappointed. This was probably six to ten years ago I'd guess.

But clearly he has master minded one of the most successful stories on YT and, at a time when the competition is fierce. Bravo Zulu, Larry I couldn't be happier for ya.

No doubt you have mentioned this product in the not too distant past D, but I presume that you are referring to "Wheel?" My brain likes the fact that Larry opted for single name products using nouns or verbs that point to the task at hand but some of the names baffle me like, "Adapt" and "Pilot." WTFO?

Ahhh, didn't realize you were referring to a ceramic coating, D. Another BIG "KB" DUH! <grin>

OK El Jefe, why the loud shout out for the product? Gotta be longevity but is it noticeably better than any other wheel coating? Inquiring minds want to know. <BSEG>
If I'm applying something to a painted surface, I want it to be slick, glossy and produce great water behavior. Most wheel coatings sacrifice slickness and water behavior to achieve durability under the extreme conditions (heat, contaminants, brake dust) and feel tacky or grabby after application.

To bring back gloss, slickness and water behavior, you can then add a secondary layer product. So, for Carpro you would apply a layer of DLUX followed by a layer of Gliss. Or for Gtechniq, that would be C5 topped with EXO. In this case, you are basically applying two coatings, and all the extra time, effort and cost to do so. Which is where Armour Wheel Coating comes into the picture......................

Armour Detail Supply Wheel Coating delivers the durability with gloss, slickness and extreme water behavior as standard without a secondary product. While they recommend two coats for maximum durability, you only need one. So, one product, one application, done!

For me, the slickness/hydrophobic equation is non-negotiable. And applying multiple layers to a wheel such as the Performance Pack design would be unnecessary torture.

These are the wheels that will come on my S650, which will be black because I ordered the Black Package (Night Pony Package). I hate them.......................................

Unlike other markets, Australian customers have no choice of wheels other than having them in Carbonized Gray (standard) or black as part of the Black Pack.

I would love a set of the optional Y-Spoke Performance Pack wheels, which are the same sizing with a machined face and Tarnished Dark finish. Being an OEM wheel, it's very unlikely any of the Mustang modifying companies in Australia importing these, and it would be very difficult to import them myself as the import taxes above $1000 are extremely steep............................ask me how I know this.

I also really like the Darkhorse wheel..............................

Last night I found an aftermarket 20-inch forged version of the Darkhorse wheel, which are painted satin grey. Two things make me hesitate, one I would prefer a gloss finish, and the $5500 price for a set of four. That's before tires.

I sort of back myself into a corner with wheels as I prefer an OEM look. For the first time, I have been considering aftermarket wheels, but as usual, the ones I like are not sold here, have been discontinued or simply too expensive.

How about putting your PP1's back on your 550, and moving your PP2's to the 650 ? :like:

I was going to keep the PP2-style wheels anyway, so yes, I have thought of doing that.

But...................................I'm over matte black wheels. I know black wheels fit the theme of the vehicle, but I'd love a set of graphite colored or machined face wheels. I'm even considering going for the 19 or 20-inch aftermarket PP2-style wheels from RTR in charcoal. Again, I would rather a gloss (clear coated) finish. And yes, I know they are the same wheel design, I just love the look.

I have to agree on the wheel design. They are much like the birdcage wheels on the handling pack Mach 1. They are a BEAST to clean :( And black wheels are so over played, I went gloss gunmetal and couldn't be happier... Hopefully your new ride will be here soon :)

You sold me, as usual D. <grin> Gonna order some here in a minute.

I hate them
Just the thought of cleaning those wheels makes me tired.

Those look an awful lot like Signature's most popular wheel, the SV104's I think.

I also really like the Darkhorse wheel
I agree, good looking wheel.

and the $5500 price for a set of four
Maybe a little steep D but in the ballpark for most forged wheel options.

But...................................I'm over matte black wheels.
Frankly, I don't much care for black wheels period.

I would rather a gloss (clear coated) finish
Amen.
