Keep it off. A decklid with no holes is relatively rare. I searched for a couple months before I found one without holes in it that I used for my wing.

If I were you, I would buy a decklid with holes already in it if you want a spoiler.

As for DF. Well, there is plenty of data out there regarding how much DF is actually created by factory spoilers. Your better off to move your battery to the trunk than use something from the factory, with the exception of the GT500 wing.

I was just about to say… my wing makes downforce… of course the immutable fact is now I have rear downforce but very little front, creating an imbalance which is never good. That being said, I’ll have a better splitter soon too. Just trying to find one that functions without being obnoxious “fast and furious” style…

I like the look of a spoiler on the back. Kinda wish mine was a little more aggressive but I'm unwilling to make a change.

As far as the installation if you decide to. I'd find a good local body shop and ask them.
I have done a diy years ago on a different car. It wasn't too bad but I was willing to assume the risk if I F'd it up. Not sure I would be on this car.

Your hood vent will create some DF. About the same as that spoiler creates. Those GT500 hoods look great.

As I’ve said on here before my car is a custom order spoiler delete PP1. I sort of like that it’s low key but I also love the look of the spoiler. I bought an OEM spoiler, going to the dealer next week to have them look at the trans. Should I have them put it on? I’m torn.

All the 2015-17 PPGT’s had no spoiler and it looked great just like yours. I think you’re just forgetting the reason you ordered it without it to begin with. You’re probably just used to it and bored. It looks better without it. But then again, I tend to go for the Bullitt look.

Thank you very much, appreciate you saying so. I’ve put a lot of work into her . She started as a base GT and is anything but now. Other than the painting of the hood I’ve done all the work myself and it’s very much a labor of love. The roll cage and supercharger will be going on once my wife’s car is paid off.

I say wing it. The GT350/GT500/Mach1 “Swing” is probably the best looking OEM spoiler Ford has made IMO. I’d put the R wing second followed by the CFTP wing then the 2018+ PP1 spoiler.

I say wing it, I drilled holes in my trunk for my APR wing, not very difficult if you have to go that route. Just use good hardware to secure it.

Careful that the GT500 wing with the gurney flap will reduce your visibility a lot. You might want to look around for seethrough gurney flaps.

I don’t have any issues with visibility FWIW and I leave the gurney flap on all the time. Use all mirrors not just the rearview (not directed at you personally, just saying in general).
