That is what im thinking. Sold a 2010 Grand Sport 1lt (base) to them. 1lt doesnt have HUD (heads up display). Mine had HUD (post purchase install) it also had upgraded floor and truck mat, optional GS center console cover etc. I started to explain the car to the appraiser and he instantly developed attitude and asked me to leave and not interfere with their appraisal.

I almost just took the car and left...but stayed cool and went to the waiting room. They bought themselves a car that night. Their offer i believe was based upon a more expensive 2lt. I followed it on their website and it sold quickly at a profit. So no harm there.....

Maybe try taking some mods off so you can sell them separately :shrug:

Agreed...I .Plan on leaving everything the same.the next owner will have nice head start..and now I guess if I save up for 2 years straight I'll be that much closer to my next project.

She's Gone..Harder than I thought

It hurts so bad inside..Yesterday I took the Carmax offer and sold my blue beauty queen down the river. It was quick and easy ..the process...but oh so sad when they handed me the vanity plates (50YEAR) and the equity check.


I will have some parts to sell over in the classified this weekend..a few OEM parts that are now just shallow reminders.


Now on to the next project..Time to bank about 1 K per month.I figure next year I can order a 2019 with a blower or wait for more news on the new GT500.Either way every time I see a deep impact blue G6 on the road I will think back on the memories.

If anyone interested she is at the Carmax in Virginia Beach.. they will probably put pictures up this weekend.

I hope she goes quick to a good home.

I miss the stang it was my 7th one that I owned. Went to carmax last week looking for a used 15 GT350 and saw the C7..

Well carmax got their money right back..now if I can just hold out a little longer for the GT500.

Thanks..the irony here is a response to this post previously had a guy selling his grand sport to carmax...I had no intentions of getting a stingray but decided to try something new.

Well I am back again. I didnt keep that C7 long. A great car ..but I missed my stang. Picked up a 2019 GT premium PP2 the other day and I am thrilled.

This one will be built in line with my original plan. A blower is being ordered as we speak. Shooting for 650 to 700 ponies.

Good to test drive the Vette for a year but the Mustang kept calling me back!

I have been much happier with my 18 GT over 15 C7 for the money. Glad I dumped the C7 before all the C8 hype really started...
