I used to have an Eco and have to ask why you want the BOV in the first place? Is your intention just to hear the hiss? If so, I wouldn’t install it. If you want to hear the turbos better and you’re still with the stock exhaust, put a high flow air filter in rather than a paper on and the exhaust will sound cooler. I used either a K&N or AFE and I thought it sounded better than stock.

If you are racing the car and slapping a huge blower on there, sure put a BOV and a tune on but otherwise it seems like more trouble than it’s worth on an engine out of warranty at 150k miles.

Also, if you’re 18 and driving a mustang, even an eco, your insurance rates probably suck and I’d be reeeeaaaallll careful about doing anything to mod the car because at your age and I hate to say it, you won’t get any benefit of the doubt if insurance gets involved in something like an accident. Let’s say you accidentally rear end somebody…at 18 with “engine mods”, literally nobody will believe you when you say you weren’t racing or showing off.

It would be a real shame to get cucked by a BOV that doesn’t even add any HP or make the car faster.

That being said, I decided against the BOV because the only benefit I could see is the hiss and I didn’t want my Mustang hissing at anybody. I then went out and bought a GT.
I have decided to return to the blow-off valve. Surprisingly my insurance is only 146 a month :) Do you know anything about how this (https://www.americanmuscle.com/cnl-bov-adapter-black-1516eco.html) would affect your car.

I am doing far better now. Have gotten my Bi-polar mostly under control and now have a girlfriend. It's nice to see that most people don't just put others down when they talk about their feelings.
Good, I'm glad you've been diagnosed early. Many people with bipolar disorder are misdiagnosed until they are considerably older than you. I'm sure you can imagine how difficult that can be. My offer still stands, of course, if you ever need it. Someone very close to me has bipolar disorder, so I know the challenges it presents to those with it and those closest to them, even when it's being treated. That said, don't ever hesitate if you just want to get a different perspective from a third party.

As for your bov issue. The one you ordered is what I intended to get for my EB before I ultimately traded it in. From the research I did previously, the biggest difference between that one and what comes from the factory is that it's metal; I believe they use plastic from the factory. Since you're concerned about longevity and the car already has 150k miles, I'd honestly just wait for it to break first, and then consider making upgrades when you've got to replace it.

Thanks for all of the extremely kind advice you have given me. I really appreciated all of it. I have learned how to better handle it and have found medicines that work for the most part. Obviously, it still affects me quite often but I have been able to minimize it and not make such dangerous and impulsive decisions.

I have decided that I will return the two things that I have bought but sadly it will cost me like 20 dollars each to return. I've decided that I will just wait a while to get an exhaust. Once again thanks for being so supportive.

Well, if you're talking exhaust now, I'll definitely be the first to offer my unsolicited recommendation of the MBRP Race cat-back. That was the first mod I did to my EB and I loved it the entire time I had it.

I'm going to be brutally blunt.

Leave the engine the fuck alone!

Let me repeat that.

Do not modify the damn engine!

You have an Ecoboost with 150k on it. An engine that can be temperamental in the best of cases. Mod any thing else you want, exhaust, suspension, interior, whatever.
Unless you have a spare $4000 - $7000 around leave the engine the fuck alone!
Just want you to know that this was the only thing that I wanted to do that would affect the engine and I'm gonna leave it at that. Do you know anything about how the https://www.americanmuscle.com/flowmaster-outlaw-axleback-1517eco.html. would affect my engine. Should I also avoid that because it vents to atmosphere? I respect your opinion entirely and thanks for being brutally honest.

Nothing past the catalytic converter, within reason, should have any effect on the engine.

It shouldn't cause an issue. If you are looking to hear the Blow off then this is probably a fine choice. If you really want to hear the turbo, get yourself a "Cold Air" Intake.
I already have a CAI but I just want more noise.

I goes right onto the stock BOV and not past the cat as far as I'm aware.

@Zrussian13 I'm 29 and saying the same thing...? LOL

Going to reiterate this message from @ORRadtech :) as the message was pure gold.

Definitely get a tune and get a cat back or the least resonator delete. Tune wise really like VMP and palm beach dyno is really good. Both have great customer service.
