I have been to some HPDEs and Time Trial events but it's been quite a few years. I'm very much looking forward to getting the "wannabe racer GT350" on track in the Spring. Would be happy to start out in the novice groups as I'm far from having enough track experience and the last cars I had on track were E36 and E46 M3s.
I'm looking forward and want to register before I miss out on something for 2024.
Anyone have good/great experiences in the Northeast with a particular HPDE group and/or track? I'm in NJ so I'm hoping to catch something at NJMP due to how close it is but I've done previous events at Pocono where they have several configurations utilizing the infield and oval that were enjoyable.
I have heard great things about CHIN but I don't think I see them nearby yet. I think the one I ran with at Watkins Glen, back in the day, was called "Trackmasters" and that was a great time.
Thanks in advance.

PCA Niagara does great events at the Glen, highly recommend. And they accept other cars, not just Porsches. Trackmasters is run by pretty much by the same people, I am planning to do events with both next year.

BMW GVC chapter is doing very similar events with generally good quality, but I was quite dissatisfied with some aspects of the last one they arranged. Having said that, they are also great people and solid option for the start.

You may want to check out Pitt Race track, which should be similar driving distance as Glen. Amazing track and facility in the middle of nowhere 😄

Good info, thank you. I hadn't thought about PItt. I have relatives in the Pittsburgh area so would be a great excuse to go visit too.

I was just at NJMP lightning a few weeks ago. Thunderbolt is currently under construction so Im looking forward to running the new configuration in the spring.

A few groups that run NJMP frequently are Moe HPDE, SCCA Track at night, Hooked on Driving (northeast region) and NASA NE.

You could also make the trip down south to Summit Point in WV. I really only drive the Main circuit. Summit Point is my home track. Not a fan of Dominion but its an option in Virginia. Hope to see you out there soon!

Thank you for the response. I saw they were repaving at NJMP. I had done an HPDE with BMW CCA quite a while ago at Summit Point and did enjoy it too.

I just did NJMP twice with Moe HPDE in the last month, that's a good group. I've also gone with TrackXperienZ, Mass tuning (though not NJMP) and S2K takeover.

I'll shoot you a message coming into next season, always on the lookout for more GT350's who track.

Please do, that would be great, and much appreciated.
