Reinflator kit expiration warning.

I have a 2019 Mustang that recently had a caution message about the reinflator kit needing to be replaced. I chose to buy a run flat tire instead. I was wondering if someone could tell me how to remove that message permanently.

You just scroll over in the menu and reset for another 4 years, taking all of 5 seconds or so.

And just to let you know - that kit is complete junk, you'd be lucky enough if it blows up a balloon.... Plus the goop in the can isn't lifetime either, that's why the dash has that expiration count down...

Do yourself a favor and get a spare tire...

I beg to differ. The compressor is actually up to the job. I had to use it once. Not in the Mustang, but in the Mondeo, which had the exact same kind of kit. I was able to get 3 bar in the tyre with it, and reasonably quickly at that - which is much more than you need in a Mustang.
The goop is a different story, though. I haven't used it myself, but the general consensus seems to be that it's useless.

While I'll certainly replace my kit with the spare tire this next year, I beg to differ onto the completely uselessness of the item.
I've recently used the tire inflator kit with the fluid in my Mercedes and it works; the problem is that to have it work you have to be inside certain parameters.

The tire must not be fully flat (that's why I had to stop quite fast after the message on the dash of a tire losing air), the puncture must be in some place where it's reachable by the glue and must not be cut...

And the goo is not so gooey, you can wash it with water, it does not solidify inside the tire, just on the puncture.

I personally don't like it but on that car there is no space for a spare tire, and it saved my ass (Das Beste Oder Nicht: they engineered it that way....).

Thanks for the prompt response. On my 2019 I searched menu but couldn't find it directly. I went thru the menu and found one item listed as Systems. When I clicked it, the page switched to Advanced Systems the 4-year update was already X ed so all I had to do was click it and message gone. There may have been another intermediate step, but when I tried to repeat the process, I couldn't find the Systems notice anywhere. I wanted to send you a more detailed list of the steps I used but no joy. Your info helped me find the answer. Thanks.
