The et street R ball up rubber like this on the street

EnMnc7p.jpg

The dws06+ have a ton of tread blocks and deep tread, I guess they just kind give the tread a bit of flex which helps them not spin somehow, along with them being designed to withstand lower temperatures. Im on general gmax right now, havent tried them in the winter yet though. The DA was probably negative in these runs atleast -500 probably maybe -1000 max. Going WOT at as low of a speed as I can hook at in 3rd in these conditions, probably ideally around 40
Andy, my SS’s did the same thing, until I figured out why. They were scrubbing/hazing too much from having too much pressure. Once I figured it out, and gave them a hot clean off burnout, I then aired them down to no more than 23psi HOT (street testing), and the rubber stayed tacky and smooth. No more rolling/pilling. After that, during any street testing/driving them, I’d air down to 19psi in the garage before leaving. Night and day difference.

Now you have me thinking. My 5.50 run was @28PSI. On the hit the car was not clean. Lots some ET. I've seen a youtuber with the same set up run a 5.4 60-130. DA unknown.

@Andy13186 what’s your car run or dyno?
Dynoed at 770 rwhp STD at PBD in 95* weather, i dont know what # pull it was on the dyno or anything I only got a graph of 1 run. It may make more IDK. Trapped 145 in negative 1000 DA on the street but with a terrible 2.2 60 foot. Just on the 3.75 pulley on e50 tune

Mine were around 20 psi, I didnt do any hard drag style burnouts, just rolling burnouts but thats what I ended up with. With doing drag style burnouts on the street these tires would last like 10 runs probably lol.

The Roush 2650 gets a lot of flack. E85 2.7 Pulley, even with a small 87MM TB. Still can manage mid 5s 60-130. Not to shabby. Eaton 2650 is no joke.

Yep. It still uses the super efficient and responsive 2650 rotor pack. It’s so under the radar. Marketing is everything. The “Whipple” name is like Windex. Everyone knows about it. Neither one is “better” than the other. Both will trash OEM un-prepped engines if asked to. Both will make 1000+HP. Both will slightly benefit certain goals and preferences.

How many miles are on those tires? What size?

That is a clear indication of over PSI on the street and hazing. You're effectively delaminating the tire. Anything on the street needs to be between 18-22 psi cold when on a full drag radial like that.

My personal opinion would be to junk those tires, get a brand new set, and start fresh.

You MAY be able to save them by a very good heat cycle. Meaning in a large wet spot start your burnout, get through second gear, and as soon as you get into third give it one good, solid whack of throttle to get the wheel speed up over 100 mph, then let off the throttle and pull out of the water to clean the rest of the tire and lay the rubber on the ground.

Ideally if the tires are still good, you should see no spots like that, and it should look like a new used radial.

I'm going to push the Roush 2650 as far as I can. the plan is to have the blower ported by Joker this winter. Pulley down to 2.5 and install the 95mm TB and make a new cold air. All Dyno tuned with Wengerd. Stock the Roush 2650 TB opening is only 90MM. The porting opens this to over 100mm. Now the Roush 2650 is now no different than Edelbrock, VMP 2650. One youtuber has done this and running 4.6-4.8 60-130s.

Man this makes me wanna get a draggy. I have no clue what I'd do 60-130. But after reading everything, I'd lower tire pressure, make sure the rear alignment is right after a lock out, and maybe so ballast.

@coryis someone who has helped me a ton with my 1/4 miles so he is def and expert

As you know, the variables are immense. If I go by my PB, It was a 4.82, but it was invalid because of a 2% down slope. DA was 1200'

In 600-1000DA, It's usually between 5.02-5.20 (Valid)
I was curious what mine might do. I don't have a draggy. We trap the same mph. Guess I would be in the low 5 sec range. I'll have to work on getting a draggy.
