Huh? Ever hear of the GT? What an odd thing to say on an obviously Ford-centric fan page.
Yes,I have a gt and have had 7 of em and a 500. But if anyone would pay 300k for a ford product they're ludicrous. Way better made products out there at that price point

No bro, the Ford GT not a Mustang GT. You know, the car that won LeMans?

You can also make the argument, since the car is manufactured by Multimatic its not really a Ford product anymore, its a multimatic product with a collaboration by Ford, reasons why the Ford GT is a step above any base ford product and why you have to go through a special order process in order to get one in the first place.

You’re exactly right. It’s got the Mustang nameplate and the styling cues but it’s most definitely a Multimatic car like the GT was/is. Just from a pure car enthusiast perspective it’s great to see. These types of cars are supposed to be going the way of the dinosaurs given all the pressure to be all electric, and here’s Farley saying eff that, we’re building a V8 track monster. I love it

Yeah, its times like this where I'm glad I'm working at Ford, but at the same time that Price, I know it doesn't turn profit but for someone like myself, I want more enthusiast vehicles. Sucks being a finance analyst who literally see's both sides. Imma just blame American's in the mean time on why we can't have more cool vehicles.

Well if they were shooting for a sub 7 minute Nürburgring car.. mission accomplished IMO.

I Do like the wheels. Though not a new concept. Magnesium wheels have been around since the sixties.

Looks too JDM. 350Z-ish with a widebody kit.

Hopefully there’s some trickle down to the cars we can actually buy at some point

I feel like we are better off betting on the aftermarket, honestly. I doubt we'd get any type of trickle down.
The proof is in the Tremec still being kept 'sacred' above the GT Trim. They easily could have cheesed the tremec software wise to keep the top special items like no lift for the DH, or improved steering feel to match the prior gen GT350, but none of that trickled down into the S650 (again according to the journalists).

And I think too much focus on the price. These will all sell out immediately to enthusiasts. I just hope to see one of them at the racetrack.
Yep, the Ford GT was around $500k if I recall and they all sold. I think because it has the Mustang nameplate, it’s throwing people off.

Some of the discussions on social media are hilarious, people talking about dealer markups and what not. They just don’t understand you can’t walk into a dealership and order one and it’s not just deep pockets you have to have, but connections too. But I guess things like that should be expected when they use a nameplate like Mustang vs a nameplate that is purely for racing like the Ford GT.
