The only option I did was hp. I was afraid of not get it built when everyone was crying about parts restrictions and availability. My sport seats have plenty of support in the corners and they are very comfortable and adjustable. I went with mischievous purple because its not in your face and they only offered purple 8 years in the entire history the mustang. Everyone goes ape shit over the color in the sun.
Just my two cents.

Yeah, it's kinda funny the different things that go through your head with colors. You can be so certain about auto vs. manual, but nervous about red vs. black. If you don't mind washing your car frequently dark colors are mysterious. Get a bunch of tickets with a red or orange car? Maybe, but probably not. I have decided that at the end of the day, you have to be able to go into the garage and say that my car looks awesome.
If you ask me, Fighter Jet Grey is just a renamed version of water-tank grey. Boring as hell, and besides, I'm pretty certain that it is a sin to paint brake calipers orange... :)
Okay, I've decided. I'm buying the Purple M1. Well, unless the Race Red one talks to me tonight...
Hmm that’s a bit harsh lol. In no way am I offended, obviously everyone has their opinions and some love certain colors and hate others, that’s why everyone doesn’t just get the same color which is certainly a good thing. I previously had a ruby red mustang, which to this day I still personally think was one of the best colors. Very deep and rich and just looked so beautiful, especially in the sun. That being said, I also think FJG is a beautiful color. Like with most, it always looks much better in person. Maybe it’s the car (Mach 1 vs Ecoboost, it does have more presence but my other car was modded in a way where it looked good imo), but in the short time I’ve owned this car I’ve gotten 20x the compliments I got previously in the almost 5 years of having that car. And a lot of the times the compliment includes “wow, that’s a beautiful color.” I also really like the orange accents and how it breaks up the gray. But if I had to choose a different color, I think the top of my list would be eruption green.

I tried so hard to love Mischievous Purple based on pictures and videos before I ordered. But I couldn’t convince myself.
I saw one in a showroom last month and I was absolutely floored. Definitely one of the top colors. Must be experienced in person to believe.
Funny how his works. Certain colors have to be seen in person. I’m a white car guy, not everyone’s cup of tea, but I’ve always loved how white cars look. When I went to pick up my Mach they had a grabber blue in the show room floor and my first thought was, well should have gone blue.

Silver/gray is always low on my list, then I saw a silver Mach in person, and thought, wow, that’s even better than the blue.:)

I’m sure I’d feel the same way if I saw purple or green in person.

I wish there was some place to go where you could see them all in person before deciding, but of course that’s not likely.

It was a tough choice between eruption green and mischievous purple. I did spray outs of both colors. BTW it was 192 bucks for 4 oz of the mischievous and 167 for the eruption in ppg dbc My cost. Purple power won

For my $0.02, I ordered my Mach 1 with the leather Recaro's, the Tremec, the Handling Package, and the B&O sound system. Can't really say much about the B&O...as long as I can hear it with the windows down doing 55 or 60, I'm fine. It's done well on that front!

As for the Tremec, I love mine! I almost went with the A10, but the salesman showed me a video of a reviewer doing a highway pull in the auto and I backed out and said to switch me to the manual! Lol I like rowing through the gears and working on my shifts; I like the idea that my shifts are up to me. It gives me another aspect to work on and improve as time goes on! I installed the MGW shifter in mine and love that as well! I like a shorter shifter, especially one with a thin collar that I can put in-between my middle and ring finger when shifting. The MGW takes care of that and tightens up the shifting as well.

The Recaro's are definitely personal preference, as other users have stated. I would highly recommend finding some to sit in to see if you like them. My Dad has the cloth Recaro's in his 2012 Boss 302 and I've loved the bolsters and the harness holes, and just the look of them in general! The seats hold me just fine, not too tight, but not too loose. I'm 5'9" and 140lbs so I'm on the smaller side.

Finally, I got mine in Race Red purely because that's my favorite color! Lol There's very few vehicles I would buy that aren't in red. Conversely, any Mach 1 in any color is very eye-catching especially with the stripes, so I think whichever you'll get, you'll thoroughly enjoy!

The thread title makes no sense.

OP, you're not "optioning" anything. You're picking from what's left.

I rowed a lot of gears in my day. I am VERY glad I pulled the trigger on the A10 Transmission. I really enjoy the 10 speed in conjunction with the various modes available, especially now that my local Ford transmission tech added the 1+ quarts of fluid that the Flat Rock fluid specialist spilled on the floor.
What were you experiencing that made you check it?

Inconsistent shifting in the lower gears especially when cold while in normal mode. Sometimes it felt as though it was bogging down. Moderately better in sport and Sport+. Even after it warmed up the A10 still felt clunky and inconsistent. I put 3K miles on it waiting for it to smooth out but it never did so I took it in to the local Ford transmission tech. I was able to witness the topping off process. It is a PITA. He had to use a pressure pot to top it off. Dipstick is in an area near hot exhaust components. He toasted his hands more than once inserting and pulling the dipstick. My theory is that the assembly line organic robots do not take into account the extra capacity that the M1 A10 setup has with the M1 transmission coolers. My recommendation for all of my M1 A10 brethren is to have your transmission fluid levels checked by a competent tech, hopefully while you are watching. Have them reset the adaptive learning while they are at it and go drive it like it was meant to be driven.

FWIW, a good amount of the GT’s came low from the factory too (mine was a little over a quart low). Seems like they wet the bed on all the A10’s no matter the trim.

Most unfortunate. Then I revise my recommendation to include all of my A10 Brothers. My guess is that there are a lot of techs that do not do the pre-delivery inspection completely when it comes to checking the transmission given the fact that it is such a PITA.

I second this recommendation as it was my experience also. I had a 22 GT W/PP A10 where the transmission was inconsistent & especially in modes other than normal unless completely warmed up. This lasted for about the first 8,000 miles and I finally had them check the trans fluid level and it was low. After they topped it off it worked as expected, even when cold and in other modes than normal.

I now have a 23 Mach 1 A10, I asked them to check the trans fluid before driving it off the lot (who knows if they actually did....) but none the less the trans is great, even when cold and in modes other than normal.

Dear King Kahuna,
Though I rarely get into a battle of wits with an unarmed person, please let me enlighten you. There are more than 950 new Mach 1's currently for sale. Best as I can tell from acing English classes, picking the options a car comes or came with could be considered "Optioning". Perhaps it's my bad for choosing a phrase that infuriates you to the point of producing the post that you so eloquently phrase. Perhaps it's my bad for asking the dear folks on this forum what they think. It may benefit you to figure out why my post seems to upset your center of the universe. Pardon me now as I get back to "Optioning".
