It is often difficult for people to be happy for other people. Jealousy runs rampant these days and politicians use it for their own gain with no intents or plans to make things better. Rather than saying "that 2015 is really nice I am glad you're happy with it, I'll have to make do with my 2011 for a few more years." they knock down your good fortune to make themselves feel better. It has nothing what so ever to do with road tests or even style it begrudging the good fortune of others a really pathetic trait to have.

I am on that FB group as well. I get a good chuckle reading all the hate. I even comment sometimes when i see something really bad but most of the time I just sit back and laugh.

The '15 is a grand slam, for sure. I cannot wait to get mine in the next week or so.

It's hard to embrace change for some people. The 2014 was a nice looking car but that rear end had to go. Once they see this new state of the art suspension (front and rear) they'll come around. It doesn't nose dive, doesn't lose traction around bumpy corners, doesn't have a crappy interior, etc etc.

This is the answer right here. Alot of people were expecting more power AND less weight, they only got the more power so they are bitter. Yes, less weight would have been nicer, but over all inside and out the 15 is a much much better car.

I agree most 11 owners probably just see the improvements as a disappointment.

Even me as a 15 owner am still pretty disappointed in the weight gain. My car weighs 200 lbs over an equally equipped 14 (well as equally equipped as you can make them) The weight is a concern for me, because that was the reason the shelby was a turn off for me as well. As well as all that weight seems to overpower these massive 15 inch brakes pretty easily, at least it did in the shelby.

If the GT350's new engine proves reliable and the rumor's of it being around 3600 lbs comes true, I can easily see myself trading my 15 in for a used GT350 in a few years. Or even if a future version weighs less. I don't to have to gut my car to get a more nimble feel out of my car. It is a DD and not a track toy, however I will track/autox/and drive spirited enough to feel a benefit of reduced weight.

Thats what Im hoping for ....a 3500# or so GT350. My 2013 weighs around 3650 and it feels heavy tbh but its my drag car. not really a DD. The Gt350 will be my track car if it meets my criteria in weight. The z06 is also MIGHTY tempting.

And appearance wise it is sort of a let down... I mean, it really shares a lot of characteristics with other Ford products (Fusion) - not a bad thing - but you are going to put some people off. Then again, I hate the looks of the 05's and didn't like it until the refresh came.

I've driven the car for about 3 days and I like it, but it doesn't devalue someone else's opinion on it. It's a very polarizing car.

I'm also part of that FB group, meh... I find that page to be filled with trolls, just about every comment / post is negative, and the Mods do a horrible job in keeping the site clean from abuse.

85% of the BS that's barfed on that page, would get you the ban hammer here.

IMO 3500 is a pipe dream without removing DD equipment. Ford has stated they still want the car to be comfortable as a DD but very much track focused. To me that means it probably won't beat the Z28, however it will get close but be much more comfortable to drive to the track a couple hours aways, give Z's a run for there money and not kill your back on the way back home

I have to laugh at people that think someone is automatically jealous because they dont like a new version of something. Maybe the same ones calling people jealous are in fact insecure because the new version isnt as great as they think it is and they need everyone to like it to make themselves feel better about their purchase? Hmmm....

Its possible that some people just dont like this thing. The car that appeals to everyone universally hasnt been built yet. Until it is, just accept that some people like what they like, and it might not be the same as what you like. If you love your little 15 then who cares that not everyone else does too.

I haven't bought a mustang yet and said they were jealous, so i got nothing to justify.

I think a lot of people were disappointed with the results that were released by the magazines. People wanted a killer car and the 2015 is a mild improvement over the 2014.
I hardly call it a mild improvement... Maybe on horsepower n torque but everything is a huge... I do mean a huge leap from all mustangs in the past.. O know this is my first mustang but the rear axle and the looks of the past mustangs is what kept me away along with the interior and lack of tech inside the cabin
