Wow! Guy I used to work with has a 2013 SRT8 and needed new tires. He wrote right on the work order, "Don't f&^$ my wheels" They did. Had to buy him FOUR new wheels. This was at a Dodge dealer too.

I took pictures in front of them as we unloaded off my truck. They took full responsibility and were very apologetic. Apparently the touchless machine snagged on the TPMS somehow and something popped loose and caused the damage

That’s great news. I’m glad they’re taking responsibility. Just a quick question though, did they come to you to say that they did it or did you have to tell them about it?

He called me and said they had an issue with the machine and damaged my wheel. I told him as long as you make good on it I’m fine, shit happens.

They they screw up just the one wheel or multiple? Are they suggesting refinishing just the damaged 1? How is that going to match? Sorry for your trouble on this but ide be livid.

They only messed up the one wheel, he mentioned sending it out for repair but since they were brand new he agreed to replace it. Typically in the past I may have been angry but when someone takes responsibility right at the beginning and agrees to make it right I just can’t be mad. I did have them mount the tire so I could drive it, we are having beautiful weather all week

Ford dealer did the same thing to both rear 11” Ford Performance rims on my car. They had to order a whole set of four to get the two rears and then tried to sell the two fronts on EBay. Took 4 weeks but ended up getting it resolved.

The curious thing is now at 5170 miles, car is one year old, my oil life says 56% remaining? Standard blend oil is 45% used in less than 2000 miles?

With low enough mileage it is time based, I bet it will be for most people. The oil life cycle is 1 year and you had 1 oil change, so looks like it was almost half year ago.

Waited till after my 1st oil change 1270 miles to visit the red line. After the second change at 3240 miles I get in up to 5 good pulls a week. Thinking of full synthetic for this next change now.

Are you resetting the Oil Life Monitor after the oil change? Regardless how you drive the car (or if not at all), it should count down 1.92% each week and expire at one year.

Along with referencing the Oil Life Monitor, the Owner's Manual provides general guidelines for when to change the oil, in instances where the Monitor is not working, or if operating in extreme environments (towing, racing, etc.).

Ouch, hope it didn’t have to sit that whole time. Good thing individual wheels can be bought now.
