Hey WD. The knob is made out of a resin with what it looks like to me a brass threaded insert. It was a "B" to get off and I'm lucky I did not strip the threads on the shifter. I think I'll keep it for now.I have a few questions
The threads that were stripped on the original knob, were they plastic or brass ?
When the white Ford Performance knob comes off, if you want to sell it and are happy to ship it to the U.K. for a fair price, I might be interested

I love mine, probably the best looking spare.Pulled off the tires on 1 side and test fit spare in all 3 places. Really wanted to get an accurate weight on the original wheels and tires. When someone claims a lighter wheel without the weight it really doesn't mean much. When I pull the tires off the wheels I will weigh them. I have faith in my scale. It was used to weigh wrestlers for years and it right on with a calibrated scale.
Spare tire was 40.2
Front 5 spoke with originals tire 1300 miles 60.2
Back 61.8
Would have guessed lighter than that.
