I purchased two Rupes polishers a couple weeks ago. I got a Bigfoot HLR75 Ibrid Mini

and an Ibrid Nano Long Neck. (Short next is supposed to be delivered tomorrow)

I’ve finished detailing the Roush engine compartment using both machines. Definitely made adding shine to the painted sections easy but they didn’t help the pain in my back from bending over for so long!

I used the Nano on the Shelby rims and the aluminum section attached to the rotors, the exhaust tips and started to detail Shelby engine bay today.

Well! I won’t be bored on these cold crappy days coming this season! There‘s plenty to keep me busy with my new toys.

Well, I guess I have to get a nano polisher now because I’m jealous of those shiny tips!

Another cheaper option to clean the tips is the Mothers Mini Power Ball. There around $30 and it attaches to a drill. The Nano complete kit is expensive ($630) but there are many places on a car it can be used. I polished the door jams, tail lights and the black plastic on trunk deck lid. I polished the wood grain on the console of a Mercedes and it came out like glass. Completely removed all the scratches. I’m Very happy with the results I’m getting, taking detailing to another level.

Yeah the Rupes is pricey but obviously a top notch polisher. I’ve been looking at some of the more entry level nano polishers like Adam’s only because it’s something I probably won’t use enough to justify the cost of the Rupes. I have also been thinking of polishing out my engine bay, yours turned out really good.

I’d like to see some pictures!
Here you go. Lightning isn’t great as I recently had an issue pop up.

Nicely done!!!

The iBrid Nano is a brilliant machine, one of my favorite tools.

How did you find the new HLR-75?

I actually just went the other way with a 3-inch machine by adding a Rupes LHR-75 Pneumatic, ordered it while on sale over the weekend. Should arrive this week.

The iBrid Nano can be had either as the kit shown earlier, or the tool and batteries only. They come in short and long neck versions, I would recommend the long neck first.

These machines are brilliant for the tricky areas and can be run in D/A or rotary modes depending on the situation. I also use it to cut in around the edges when polishing glass.

Couple of other options for you -

Adams - $249
Adam's SK Pro Micro Cordless Swirl Killer Polisher 2.0 - Adam's Polishes (adamspolishes.com)

Maxshine - $219
Maxshine M0312 Mini Cordless Polisher — MaxShine (maxshineusa.com)

Flex - $641

I bought some polishes from The Clean Garage and they
sent me a card that said 5% off your next order. They had the HLR-75 kit for $535 so I purchased it With $26.75 off.
Black Friday I got $65 off the Nano. The short neck version was supposed to be delivered yesterday, delivery was changed to today. I’m going set one up in D/A mode and the other in rotary mode. The HLR-75 works extremely well. Absolutely no issues with battery life. I did my entire truck with it and the battery still had power. It was an experiment, not the most efficient way to polish a truck. It takes 20 minutes to charge the battery and 45 continuous minutes to kill it.

I put my new polishers to work and and polished every nook and cranny! The weather has been terrible, good time to get busy and do it! The plan was to spend a couple of hours polishing. Just under 4 hours later I was done. Time goes by fast when your having fun. Very therapeutic, relaxing with music playing. (Stevie Ray Vaughan)
