So you toss it, then expect Steeda to warrantee it?
Called then 1st, then after what they said just dumped it. Didn't have time between job, family and kids and renting lift to ship back. I took it on the chin, less stress and called it a day.

The Steeda IRS braces will work with the Steeda Jacking Rails - they will not work with the BMR rails.

As far as the power coating goes - we are constantly evolving. Harsher winters, different climate conditions, etc. all play different roles in affecting the powder coating. In harsher climates - we recommend wiping with WD40 to remove the harsh chemicals.

I can't comment on the experience you received or who you spoke with - but in almost all cases of warranties - we work with the customer through our warranty department. We require the parts to be sent back in almost all cases so we can inspect them.

I apologize you didn't want to pursue it further.

Thanks for reply and explanation. But, "NO" product w powdercoating should flake within 1 year. In this case 2 diff products, stang has 11k miles and only dealt w 1 winter and they both failed. The front k brace weld totally failed, lack of structural integrity failure and coating.
I believe in shit happens, so I chalk it upto bad luck. But if it happens again, then im 1000% done.

Thanks Anthony

My steeda ultralight jacking rails have been fine, but I do use rubber pads on my jacks and jack stands

By not returning the parts to Steeda you did a dis service to them and everyone else. They cannot fix what they dont see.

Yeah well, sorry didn't have the time. I'm more than sure they know about there cheap powdercoating issues as I'm not the only customer who has had an issue. It's an ongoing issue. When I order the jacking rails soon, I will keep everyone posted via forum and steeda as well. 👍

If there was a widespread powder coating issue - chances are, there would be a tremendous amount of backlash on this forum and more information on the web.

This is not a widespread issue nor have we had too many "complaints" that parts are not holding up.
Our parts come with a lifetime warranty.

Hey, listen... I like steeda, even after these 2 separate issues w poor welds and powdercoating. ive been using them for 20+ years w no issues, since my old foxbody days. Every now and then you get a bad part. Granted, ive gotten 2 recently.
But there are issues with your powdercoating and welding, I'm not the only one. This thread started off as a "which Jack rail thread?", not a bashing steeda thread. I was asked my opinion and experinece which i wanted to keep to myself but felt obligated to share when asked directly.
Personally, BMRs welding and powdercoating is better than steeda in my opinion. I have BMR parts on my car same amount of time and BMRs have held up. Zero issues. Steeda have not.
I am going to purchase your jack rails soon, only because I have your IRS rear bracing and it works with those parts. If it was not for that I would be getting the BMRs.
I will keep you TJ posted about the powdercoating and welds. Hopefully if something goes wrong that lifetime warranty will take care of my issue. Hopefully I won't have to wait 1 month for a replacement part etc..
I am hopeful that steeda will do the right thing.
Thanks, Anthony

With our newest changes to our powder coating, we have landed an even higher rating for quality and durability than ever before. Our Engineering & Manufacturing Teams are always looking for ways to improve. When we sent out some of our powder coated parts to get salt spray tested to ensure long-term durability and reliability, we received higher results than we had expected. They came back with a 9 out of 10 rating after 750 hours of direct salt spray testing, landing higher than the industry standard of 6 out of 10. With this high rating, we are proud to announce that Steeda’s powder coating is the strongest it has ever been!

I will be happy to be your point of contact if you have any issues.

But there are issues with your powdercoating and welding,
Had you returned the broken part Steeda would have had a broken weld to test. If they found a defect in the weld process they could have changed the process thus making a better part for all.

Second, you would have got a replacement under their warranty. Assuming you didn't run over a curb or something like that.

dude,
No i didnt run over a curb, the part snapped due to a poor weld. My friend who owns shop is a metal fabicrator and he called it out. Plain and simple. I could care less about a replacement, hence the reason i tossed it out, i dont have the time to send stuff back.. Its all about "TIME" for me.. I dont think your understanding........... I wanna install part and be done w it, not have to check it daily, weekly, monthly for premature powdercoating failure after 7 months, or wipe it down w WD40 for protection. Nor turning my steering wheel and hearing clunks because the front lower k member brace snapped. 👎👎👎 I need to have the confidence and peace of mind that the part will not fail me, prematurely. Since installing the BMR front lower k member brace I haven't had any issues. Solid as a rock!
Anyways, Stop using me as an excuse for not returning the parts as the reason Steeda could've engineered a better product, blah, blah, blah.. The product should've been perfect outta the box, not flawed via poor welds and flaky powdercoating. The part is a geometrical metal fabrication w no moving parts, shouldve never broke. Plain and simple.

K4fxd -- What do you work for STEEDA? Lmaooooo Your hilarious!!!!!!

Good to hear!!! We shall see. I will keep you posted!!! And as a matter of fact, i am a "FOUNDING MEMBER" aka Monte87 of STANGNET.com the oldest mustang forum on the internet. i am going to ask all our members there if anyone has had any recent issues with steeda products via "poor welds and premature flaking powdercoating" and get back to you. Also touch base with our sister forum Corral.net. This way, we can really get a good gauge on these issues. Not just rely on mustang6G...

Thanks Anthony

P.S. I am hoping to work with you as a liason on any issues that may arise and get parts covered under warranty for our members there as well.
