Thinking of all the members like @stanglife & @Tomster down there in Florida. This storm turned out to be a monster keep yourselves safe and by all means, protect those Shelbys. 😉

I'm sure it's not your first hurricane, but if it's what they're reporting, it's one for the records.

Please update us on how you all made out when it's over.

🇺🇲🙏

We did the best we could for the house. The storm went South some, otherwise, we would have seen insane flooding and I'm not sure my house would still be there at all. I'm still a little concerned. Cars are in 4th floor secure parking garage where my wife works. I have a 964 project car that had to stay home, it's on the lift. You can really see the downforce that the car generates in this image.

All good in Orlando.

Southwest FL is wild with the flooding.

Monday's forecast looked pretty grim. The house is 1 block from Old Tampa Bay and only 4 feet above water level. The predicted storm surge would have flooded the garage up to the roof, and the poor 'Stang is trapped in there while we're still in Maine for another month or so. Somehow we dodged that artillery shell in the Tampa area. The folks in the Cape Coral area, we're praying for you. It's bad. That includes having been through Alicia (1983), Ike (2008) and Harvey (2017) on the Texas side - Ian was by far the worst ever.

Apollo Beach area here, made it through relatively unscathed. Waiting for the sun to come up so I can do a walk around. I have hurricane shutters that went up Tuesday afternoon. Did not lose power at all during the storm. There is some damage to the fence, but it looks like just a missing panel. Very lucky again, something about the Tampa area and the Gulf winds, been here since 95 and never took a direct hit.

I'm on the North shore of the Manatee River, on the east end ( head waters). We were expecting the worst early in the week. We live in a neighborhood with really big old oaks, and yep, a few went thru several homes roofs. Scary the weight of those suckers, thank God for cinderblock construction. We only had several pool cage screens blow out, and a ton of tree debris. We dodged a bullet.

My sister is in Sarasota and nephew in Tampa. Both made it through. Luckily no flooding at my sisters house but power has been out since yesterday morning. Going to be long road ahead.

Daytona Beach area here… we got slammed with 70mph winds for hours and 20 plus inches of rain. This was when the water was rising. Luckily we pulled the car half in the garage and water never go past the rear tires.
