Can always do the Roush blower...it keeps the warranty if installed by Ford or ASE certified tech.
I had a PD blower on the last one. I wanted to try out the Centri or turbo this time around. No biggie, will continue to save up & buy suspension parts, get seat time at track (5 hr drive) & maybe start my Honda project I been wanting to do. Wife wants a bigger house as well, so all that might wait in the end lol.

Thanks to this thread I will not be tuning my car until the warranty expires. I already have issues with my local dealer. Can't imagine what BS I'd have to go through if I was in the same situation. I guess the Blower can wait.
I have tuned and modded brand new cars in the past. I just didn`t realize how reckless it until later on.

I think it not a bad idea to wait little bit to make sure the car doesn't have any problems.

Yeah that's what I'm thinking now. Had the car last year with only a few hundred miles & the radiator cracked. Started leaking, took it in & the 1st thing I got was attitude because I didn't buy the car from their dealership. Took them 3 days just to replace it. Had to call the original dealer that I bought it from to get that ball rolling. Car came back drenched in antifreeze & with the level at the minimum line. Almost didn't buy a mustang knowing I would have to deal with them. Will probably drive the 3.5 hrs to the original dealership I bought it from just for oil changes.

I have seen people getting their engines and transmission replaced with tunes running e85. It probably was the dealer playing games with you. Dealers earn more doing out of warranty works.

Read the fine print of ANY such warranty.

Some of those warranties run concurrently with the existing warranty already in place - not many are an "addition to" with the thought of more coverage....

It's definitely covered for 3/36 of initial factory warranty. Now getting a new engine with it may be tricky as its through Ford Performance. I've read through the Roush website on it when I was looking to do it to my car. Hard to justify 10k for a mod on an already fast car. Someday maybe...

In order for warranty work to be approved a dealership has to follow a set of rules/guidelines. Or get Fords approve before the work can be started. Ford knew exactly what was going on here and approved the work. The dealership cannot just tell Ford the customer wanted us to look for detonation in the cylinder walls and Ford pay for the work. It just doesn't work like that.

So....three months and one day later, I finally have my Mustang back with a brand new long block installed under warranty.
I would like to thank fmc_smc and Cobra Jet, along with all others who contributed guidance and advice to me during this frustrating situation.

A note to all others who research and read up on dealing with warranty issues with Mustangs....it all boils down to the people at the dealership. If they don't communicate with you or Ford properly, you are going to get screwed!
Ford Corporate did very little for me after I opened a case against my dealership. They essentially contacted the dealership to make them aware someone had contacted ford with a complaint. At that point the dealership did start communicating better, but all in all Ford Corporate did very little and didn't care that I didn't have a loaner for 3 months...Ford essentially left me stranded for 3 months and all they said was, From this point forward we'll make sure your experience with Ford will be a better one.
The thing is....Ford will never get the chance to. A company the likes of Ford can not strand, nor treat customers as such...I had the Mustang back 3 days and I have traded it in...I will never deal with Ford again or buy any of their products.
I truly hope all of you love and enjoy your Mustangs.
Thanks again to all who contributed!

Dang sorry to hear.

I think this kind situation can really happen with any brand or dealership. If that makes you feel any better. I don`t blame you for trading in the car and not buying Ford ever again.
