That's kind of too my point. The post I was replying to suggested The S650 will be faster....period. it's not always that simple. I'm sure the S650 will have some advantages, but not necessarily all.
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder but from what I've seen, it'll also be ugly.

I like to disassemble things.
These cars never go down in weight. The question is, how fat of a fatass is the S650 gonna be?

I love the S650 interior. seen it and sat in it about 18mths ago. The exterior is so so but could grow on me. Is was just the s650 mustang not a Shelby model.

I hope they fixed the rattles. My f150 doesn't rattle.
That's the truth my 19 150 (aside from the junk cam phasers) didn't and my 20 250 didnt. My 400 mile gt500 has a new one almost each time I drive it. I'm not even sure where to start trying to chase them. 😂

Just in case there were any doubters. Even Shelby is saying 2022 is the last year. So all that is left is Ford to “officially “ say it even though every one else is.

My dealer said if my ‘22 Mach 1 order isn’t built that they’ll give me their first ‘24 GT if I’d want it. If it has the Tremec that will be a tempting option to be honest, especially as this would be a DD.

My dealer said if my ‘22 Mach 1 order isn’t built that they’ll give me their first ‘24 GT if I’d want it. If it has the Tremec that will be a tempting option to be honest, especially as this would be a DD.

Seems like the S650 ‘24 MY will have official information released this week by Ford so we’ll see soon enough!
I personally MUCH prefer the Tremec to the MT82.

The mt82 is a Chinese piece of trash. Getting a car without it was my main motivator to originally buy a gt350. Honestly if they'd have built a nice NA 5.2 with tremec, good brakes and suspension and called it a boss I'd likely have bought it over the 500.

Exactly why I gave up searching for a 350 and ordered a Mach 1.
They should realize the guys that go manual on the GT are all guys that would choose the Tremec 100% of the time if able.
But Ford will make their decision and we will deal with it.

I think Ford would be in the drivers seat with a high horsepower Mustang. Camaro is on the way out. Heck, it seems Chevy won’t even do a last hurrah for the car. Dodge is pulling the plug on the high HP Hemis. Ford should really be able to dominate in this segment if they can develop and produce the right product.

All about cost savings for the bean counters. Not what enthusiast want.

“Ford has confirmed that 2022 will be the final model year for the Shelby GT500, powered by the Predator supercharged 5.2-liter V-8 with a monstrous 760 horsepower and 625 pound-feet of torque.”
